Re: 2008 RS6 avant night time 'beeping'
To add to the above, do you the ability to scan the cars ECU for fault codes as it seems like either an alarm sensor is having a bad day or something like a window etc isn't fully up which can cause alarm issues, even if its just open by 1mm. If you can get the car scanned let us know what fault cod...

Re: Used C6 RS6 as a daily driver?
From my experience (3x engine in/out) In the UK at a specialist like Unit20, MRC etc etc it'd be near £3k for the engine and GB to be removed/refitted - then there those sneaky extras costs involved of "well the engines now out and we found XYZ needs doing" or "Whilst the engine is out, at this mile...

Re: Used C6 RS6 as a daily driver?
In my 9 years of ownership, it was a daily driver on a 50 mile commute for about 3 years, then I moved abroad for 4 years and drove it once/twice a year, and now I've been back now for 2 years its a "once a week" car, as my commute is <3 miles each way (waste of an RS6 for that). In those 3 years of...

Re: RS6 C8 2021 Gearbox oil change and sport dyff
On previous ZF gearboxes the two diffs (1 and 4 in your image) use a single diff oil reservoir whilst the gearbox core (items 2 & 3) again uses its own centre reservoir. As to the fluids themselves I've not seen a ZF 8HP gearbox myself so I can only go off what the general internet has said so take ...

Re: BLOODLINE BATTLES C8 v C7 v C6
I'm surprised that none of these cars have an MRC map TBH, they've been proven time and time again to be the best RS6 mappers in the UK. As for the races, well I'd also like to see the dyno for the C6 just to the torque figures because the first 1-2 seconds of each rolling race and drag race didn't ...

A few smaller things - Fitted the new throttle body a while back and all is good there, popped into MRC Tuning in Banbury during a weekend trip back to Stoke for an oil change (Fuchs Titan Race Pro-S 5w30). When we filled in my service book we realised it'd been over a year since the last service so...

Bleeding the ABS pump with Bosch ESP 8.0 - A Guide
Hi All, This is a guide for those like me who end up in this situation of having to bleed the ABS pump, not those just doing a normal brake bleed. However this procedure below will also bleed your calipers and do a full fluid change at the same time anyway (approx 3L of fluid). I was changing my bra...

Re: Turbo inlet seal part number help
Just for clarity - this is the gasket that fits on the inlet side of the 90' turbo "inlet/elbow" rather than the rubber O-Ring which fits on the outlet side, between the turbo inlet/elbow and the front of the turbo. https://i.imgur.com/lybV5FL.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/kDfScNr.jpeg Unfortunately noth...

Re: Misfire saga
I keep mine in a small plastic bag (the type banks used for coins) and put it under the battery strap. I'm due a new battery later this year based off age, oh Joy!Jim Haseltine wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 11:15 pmThe battery still had a year and a bit to go on it's 5-year warranty but who (except my father) keeps receipts that long?

Re: Misfire saga
Low batteries on these things throw up all manner of "not a real fault" issues, even if you recharge them via driving for an hour or so they still seem to throw random stuff without a full "out of the car" recharge or a replacement battery (depending on its age). Laptop - I'm still lucky, my VCDS la...

Well I had to have a little play didn't I! Like someone using a fidget spinner, as I watched a film last night I was absent mindedly working the valve back and forth and after about an hour I noticed that the valve was opening just a tiny more and more as time went on (like another 1-2 degrees after...

P3035 Throttle Body "Mechanical Malfunction" - Some Info.
Hi All, I got this error code, dropping me into into Limp mode and wrote a little something about what caused it, the fix etc in my "car diary" here - https://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=121&t=120055&start=270#p976697 - just incase anyone else gets a similar issue but long story short my Passeng...

So........................New Year, New Issue :D This one looks to be a fairly simple fix to be fair (touch wood etc). I was driving back home at night like a sensible A6 driver (which is how I drive all the time Officer!) when I got a ESP fail message on the dash with the car throttle having virtua...
