Re: Snapped rear spring

Thats great, I think that needs to be advertised a bit wider as I know a few people were put off lowering before.

Re: Snapped rear spring

Retaining Shocks - Yeap, the H&R's fit over the existing DRC shocks and, as you siad, will further increase the stiffness of the car (possible negative) whilst the lowering looks better. Anything Else - There's no aftermarket Camber Adjustment kit for the RS6 and the OEM doesn't have enough adjustme...

Re: Oil catch can?

I used to have one on my Skyline but I'm fairly sure I haven't seen any-one fit an aftermarket one to their RS6 yet as the oil separation system already has 2 "catch can" type devices. One is built-in to the top/lid of the oil reservoir to catch the big particles of oil and a small one at the top/re...

Re: Backbox/muffler delete

I have MIJ custom built exhaust... cats removed together with rear silencers - straight through pipes. Very nice note when driven on motorways but it does have that droning sound that is tad annoying when driven in low gears / revs. I did this and, whilst is sounds quite "mid-rangey" (not very deep...

So what is the halogen bulb in the headlight?
Thats the fog light.

The dipped/main is one HID bulb and when you switch to main the dipped "shutter", which cuts off light from the bulb to make a dipped pattern, is removed from the dipped bulb so it becomes a main.

Andy - I've sent you a PM, although it's in my outbox, I don't know if I need to do something more for it to get to you
It sits in your out-box until Andy reads it when it changes to the Sent Box, that's how you know it's been read.

Re: Buying an RS6 in Australia

Hi Alex, Jim answered most of your questions but I'll add this regarding question 2 - It is possible to hit those sort of power figures even on a stock exhaust but 680-700 is more common unless the secondary Cats* are removed but I know that you guys are much stricter on mods being carried out so I;...

Re: Tyres

Both aren't great on snow TBH as both are "Summer" tyres and Quattro AWD means nothing it your tyres can't grip.

Re: Tyres

I've used both Goodyear F1's and Michelin PSS (previous version of MPS4S) and both were extremely good - Goodyear - Better in the wet, slightly worse in the dry MPSS - Better in the dry, slightly worse in the wet Both lasted around the same duration too and the newer MPS4S is even better but, as you...

My review of Trups Quad-Headlight conversion - viewtopic.php?f=47&t=120057 - long story short, absolutely amazing but can be pricey however that shouldn't put you off, they are phenomenal!

Re: RS6 tuning recommendations

I've had a few RS6's, been here for nearly 5 years and used a few different places. For the mapping I would absolutely recommend MRC 100% of the time as their bespoke mapping programmed into the ECU will give you a better result than a more generic plug & play or soldered board map. However for "gar...
