oil Cooler pipework
RS6 Oil Cooler 1.jpg Hello everyone Having my cambelt and a new radiator fitted to my RS6 C5 Plus. Decided to take it to my local Audi dealer rather than indies. MRC were out if it due to busted radiator and distance so I went for thee next best option. Cambelt done, no problem but the oil cooler p...

Re: Thoughts on sale price
They don't come up that often and prices will rise. There have been a couple on Pistonheads, both advertised by the same dealer at £19K which I think is very high. One is now sold but what it went for I do not know. I have a Plus but do not intend to change for a while. If I were, I would go in at £...

Re: Gearbox output shaft leaking again... Already.
You may well shout at me for my ignorance but if the channels are so problematic has anyone thought about filling them in and respraying the whole roof? Seems to me that they are a constant problem area for rust and on mine in particular the strips have a tendency to ping out at the ends. This would...

It had to happen
I have been a RS6 owner now for two years and had trouble free motoring. That's probably down to the fact that i bought it from a member who along with previous owners looked after it well. Compared to previous performance cars that have cost a fortune the c5 has cost me £3K including services tyres...

Re: Nice ass
Don't agree, the rear end looks good. Nothing wrong with that at all, be different. Good mileage but a tad pricey for a LHD. Worth a look

Cleaning Disc securing plate
Just had the wheels refurbished and the disc securing part is the next thing to do.Plan to remove wheels for better access but any recommendations on cleaner/polish would be appreciated as I am unsure what material I am dealing with.

Carbon mirror housings
My mirror housings are looking a little tatty and I am thinking of going satin black to match my optics or going carbon fibre. With the first option I can either wrap or respray and I prefer the latter. I am looking at the carbon housings from JP Carbon wwwjpcarbon.com. Has anyone fitted these or kn...

Problem to watch out for
Hello Lost engine power and electrics driving home at the weekend. Luckily there was a lay-by close by and managed to coast safely. Very thorough RAC mechanic traced the problem to a connection and fuse under the header tank. Took a while, had to take out the lower dashboard in both footwells in ord...

Re: Mugello Blue??
It's all down to personal preference, I wouldn't choose this colour as it tends to look dirty easily, a bit like black. If I was in the market to upgrade i would look at Sprint blue. Looks good especially with the black optics on the Plus. Concentrate on getting a well sorted car first and the colou...

Re: Bluetooth music options?
Hello Guys I am fed up with my plug in hands free gizmo. I have a Belkin, the sound quality is rubbish and I continually have to retune the damn thing. I like the look of the Sony but it needs an AUX or RCA in. Is there one in a C5 RS6 and if so, where? I'm totally useless with anything electrical s...

Re: Rear Parcel Shelf for C5 Avant
Thanks for the response, it is indeed for an RS6 and if some measurements can be taken that would be much appreciated. I wouldn't have thought that Audi would have changed the connections at each end of the roller blind between the C5 and C6 so hopefully the length of the roller is a good measuremen...
