Hi Guys,

Does anyone have the part number for the B9 S4 5 V spoke alloys (Option code PQI)?

Thanks.

Re: Alternative alloy wheels

I don't want to hijack the thread but... I posted on the B9 S4 board but only had one reply there (thanks 535dboy). I'm thinking of selling my B7 RS4 and moving to a B9 S4. I'll need a set of winter wheels for it. Genuine wheels seem a bit steep, but something like Ispiri seems to be much more reaso...

Re: Options

Thanks for your reply 535dboy. I'm narrowing my choice down. Rear Diff is on the spec sheet now. Yes I'm looking forward to it. It's not an RS, but I was surprised at the performance on the short test drive I had. I'll miss the V8 and the special feeling every time I get in it, but I won't miss the ...

Options

Hi folks. It's time to sell my B7 RS4 after 5 years and I'm about to order an S4 avant. I'm hoping for some opinions on options on the S4. I'm considering the following options but would like to be sensible about it. Rear diff - I've not driven one with this. B&O - unfortunately it's only available ...

Re: Shall I take my RS4 to the Alps

Both car and snow look awesome but that fill up would make you wince a bit! That's way more than the autoroute prices.

Re: Shall I take my RS4 to the Alps

The French have no requirement for winter tyres. They might stop you half way up the hill if they think you are ill equipped for the conditions. It's a different story in Switzerland and Austria. I'd still not risk it though as I've driven all the way back to Zeebrugge in the snow and I drive up the...

Re: Shall I take my RS4 to the Alps

I've had my B7 for nearly 5 years now and have taken it to the Alps from Scotland 2-3 times a year both winter and summer. It always draws some attention, comments, camera phones from Frenchies. They seem to recognise the car more so than UK drivers. I even had one guy run across a car park to take ...

Re: Wheel Spec's

Just checked wheel-size.com and not sure how much trust I'd place in the details it contains. It lists 21s as an option for the B8. But the 20s are listed as ET26 as Sam states.

Re: Wheel Spec's

ET 24 for the 19s and ET 26 for the 20s assuming they are the same as the new RS5 according to Wheel-size.com. Not sure how reliable they are. I've been thinking the same Brooner. 19s might give more choice with winters and the option of some Ispiris or similar in 20 for the summer. Might need to wa...

Re: Ball Joint Gaiters perished

Thanks Covkiller. I'll speak to my local guy armed with that knowledge.

I understand it's something the MOT is tightening up on, so I suspect many will face this issue soon.

Ball Joint Gaiters perished

Looking for some advice folks. Just had my car serviced and have an advisory about the front lower ball joint gaiters being perished. The last MOT also picked this up. Audi want an arm and a leg to replace. My knowledge of suspension is extremely limited, but they seem to want to replace arms, c lin...

Re: DRC pipe replacement question

Unit 20 replaced all my DRC pipes. If I remember correctly they dropped the fuel tank sufficiently to fit the pipes but didn't disconnect it.

They also replaced my fuel filter having advised to do so. The gunk which came out of the old one suggests this should not be a lifetime item as Audi claim.

Fog Light part number wanted

Just returned from a trip to the Alps with a cracked windscreen and a broken nearside fog light :(

Once I've argued with the insurance company about fitting a genuine screen I need to source a replacement fog light. Does anyone know the part number? I gather they are easy to replace.

Re: Help with wingback seats

Iconic, Can you tell me exactly what you get as part of the kit 4D0862225M please? I've just replaced one of my valves. The bags (both sets of bolsters controlled by the one valve) stay inflated much better than before but they still loose some air. I swapped to a known good valve and the symptoms r...

Re: Boot Seal.

I have an avant and got Audi to replace the boot seal. It didn't help. They then tried some flexible mastic on a roll to improve the seal. That improved matters but wasn't perfect. I ended up messing about with the seal myself in the area where the water was getting in. I found lifting it up off the...
