Re: R8 exclusive seats/panels, BC forged 21", steeringwheel, mirrors, rs6 front bumper

On the seats: from where/which car have they been taken?

How much wear/tear is there?

Presumably no difference between RHD and LHD configurations?

Audi UK MY 2014/15 R8 brochure

Does anyone have an electronic copy of the R8 brochure from 2014/15, ideally from Audi UK?

Re: Jack Barclay Audi vs MRC Tuning

Thanks for the perspective.

Having visited JB Audi, I'm not filled with huge confidence although definitely better than WL Audi.

Having said that, WL Audi is a very low bar!

Jack Barclay Audi vs MRC Tuning

Hi, I wanted to check whether any R8 V10 (Plus) owners had experience of both Jack Barclay Audi in Wimbledon and MRC Tuning in Banbury. I've never used Jack Barclay Audi before but understand they are highly experienced Audi master techs with specific expertise in RS/R8 models. I have experienced MR...

Re: RS5 rotors

Not a straight swap unfortunately.

You will need spigots, hub-centric spacers and depending on the tyres you choose, arch lining clips removed.

Re: Over run / crackle option

Yes, that is my understanding of MRCs amended re-map.

The noise/performance comes at the expense of fried cats I believe.

Has anyone had the remap done with cats in place? Or is it better to go down the route of decatted downpipes before remapping?

Re: Over run / crackle option

Picking up on a related question, I wanted to check whether anyone has the overrun/crackle map tweak with main cats in place? I got a Stage 2 re-map, pre-cats gutted and centre res delete 2.5 years ago. I'm now considering a map tweak to include the flat shift, launch control and overrun/crackle. I ...

Re: PPF vs Ceramic Coat vs Wrap

Thanks MrHilario and MikeFish.

MikeFish: I suppose your reason for PPF as top choice is it is not just colour protect but physical protection of the bodywork?

What is the typical cost of a ceramic treatment?

I know full PPF coverage can be £3-4K.

PPF vs Ceramic Coat vs Wrap

Thinking about protecting paintwork beyond a detailing effort, how would people choose between: 1. PPF 2. Ceramic Coat 3. Wrap Recognising that the last of these isn't intended to protect the paint necessarily but rather, to potentially change the colour temporarily, are there clear preferences from...

TVR Cerbera

Any current/former Cerbera owners care to describe their comparative experience with the RS4? It seems to have sheer drama that the RS4 can never quite have but of course, it is also nowhere near as reliable as the RS4. Both cars not far off in value and upkeep costs so could be considered potential...

Re: Hunter alignment

Fun and games, the wheels were re-balanced for their new positions so the issue is more with the spacers as MikeFish describes.

Thanks for responses.

Re: Hunter alignment

Very helpful, thanks guys.

Spigots definitely on there but I suspect you're right about the spacers MikeFish.

Is fitting the spacers more art than science, i.e. need to judge by eye? Presumably any decent tyre shop can do this in most cases?
