Re: Anyone need replacement intake flap actuator linkage parts?

Well, i appreciate you guys digging this one up. The arms are actually complete and sitting on our computer. my EPC light hasn't returned and other projects came in and they got parked, but the next step would be to get them fabricated and verify they're the correct fitment to get them signed off fo...

Re: Boot Lid Electronics Fail (no lights or central locking)

If it's just the boot I'd check the cable that goes from the body through the tubing and into the bootlid. I had a similar thing with my drivers door, the main power to the control box had broken after being opened and closed so many times. Was a pretty simple fix, just added a new 5cm bit of wire ...

Boot Lid Electronics Fail (no lights or central locking)

Hi all, Had a strange problem recently in which the boot lid electronics have failed which means no night lights, rear fog lights, number plate lights, central locking or boot interior light and the associated warnings. My first reaction is fuse but i've not managed to confirm that yet and judging b...

Re: Hesitation when engine cold - any ideas?

It affects fuelling based on engine temperature. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That's interesting i didn't know that.. Seems to read ok on the dial but it would be good to confirm with a digital read-out.. Problem is, with no error codes and without putting a thermocouple on the coolant circui...

Coolant temperature sensor and Maf is what I’d be looking at.

Re: Anyone need replacement intake flap actuator linkage parts?

Is this the same part that 034 motorsport sell? 1/2 of the kit would be yeah.. The issue with theirs is that it still has to match the stock plastic collar on the shaft, if the collar is worn and you only put a new linkage on, you'll still get play in the system which defeats the object. You also t...

Re: Hesitation when engine cold - any ideas?

I have the same problem too.. I am thinking it could be worth getting the injectors cleaned, or looking at cleaning/replacing the MAF sensor.. Like you, there are no related codes logged.. Approaching it logically, the nature of the problem suggests to me it's a combustion issue which would draw my ...

Anyone need replacement intake flap actuator linkage parts?

I suspect mine has failed or is on it's way so i'm gonna design up some replacement collar & linkage parts to be machined from aluminium. The problem seems to be that the stock plastic parts wear with time and some play develops in the system which the actuator doesn't like. To be clear it'll be bot...

Re: Control Arm Part Numbers

If you’re going to do it, I would get all the arms listed in the thread I posted (inc the ARB drop links or C-links as they’re known). I changed everything and the car has been transformed. Make sure you get a proper 4-wheel alignment done afterwards too. I got all mine from autopartstechnik. They’...

Re: Control Arm Part Numbers

I recently changed all uppers, a complete pig of a job especially with DRC shocks.... I used small butane torch and with constant heat on upright pinch bolt eventually started to move, after much backward & forward it came out. Not so lucky on other side as bolt snapped which meant drilling it out....
