Starter/ Generator Failure
I bought a new RS6 in 2021 , it has now 32,000 miles on it and have extended the warranty. Last week a yellow battery warning lamp came on together with a yellow Sport Diff problem, being 2 miles from home I carried on looked in the manual and contacted my dealer, as instructed. They booked the car ...

Re: 227,000 Miles in an RS6
I wa tempted to keep it like my Lotus Carlton regret selling that as prices are now through the roof but there is a limit and i believe cars have to be used. Not so sure about the new 2020 one, all buttons its like going from a Nokia 6310 to an Iphone but so smooth, cannot wait till its run in, then...

Re: 270,000 Mile RS6
Yes serviced exactly when it should have been. In fact i added up the bills and spent over £60k in 16 years which sounds a lot of money but at £3500 a year is not so bad, Chipped at 40,000 miles to 530bhp but this made no differnece to reliability. Use Mobil 1 throughtout ist life and i think this h...

227,000 Miles in an RS6
Is 227,000 miles the highest mileage RS product on the road? After 16 years of ownership I have decided to chop my beloved 2004 car in for a new one. It was chipped at 40,000 miles to 530bhp delimited and had a Miltec exhaust. Still has original engine, gearbox though the plastic cam chain guides br...

Re: 227,000 Mile RS6
My 160,000 miles is now 227,000. IS THERE A HIGHER MILEAGE RS PRODUCT ON THE ROAD?
Stll going strong hardly uses any oil timing chain tensoners broke at 180,000 but did not need an engine rebuild just replaced some valves, g/box reconditioned and turbos at the same time.

Re: RS6 Gearbox dropping into neutral
My garage didd the check so i do not know. They did the engine recon and farmed the gearbox out. I will ask them tomorrow. They do use this but they have a more up top date system which is Audi approved. The car is going in tomorrow so they can take a sample of the fluid.

RS6 Gearbox dropping into neutral
My 13 year old RS 6 has done 190,000 miles, and I have driven 175,000 of them so know this car well. Had the gearbox, turbos and engine reconditioned at 150,000 but recently if I have to do an emergency or sudden stop the gearbox drops into neutral. The lever is still in drive and you either wit unt...

160,000 Mile RS6
I have had my 2006 RS6 since it had 15,000 miles on it. At 40,000 AMD fitted a proper Miltec exhaust, cats, and remapped the engine managment and gearbox so it gave 530bhp. since then I have regulalry maintained it, aways use Mobil 1 oil and it is having its 160,000 mile service next week. At 100,00...
