"What's an OV62? It's a Dutch car."
Ah, didn't realise it was Dutch! Audi's UK demonstrators and early models are often registered in the Oxford area. An OV62 prefix to the registration number indicates an Oxford area registered in late 2012 (i.e just after the B8 came out).

Re: Advice on buying RS4
Those are the original 19" wheels, as opposed to the 20" V-spokes or the 20" five spoke wheels which I forget the name of (edit, I remember now - Rotor). They look in good nick. I suspect it is one of the early cars (with a 10 year single owner), has it got an OV62 reg? I've had mine for almost 11 y...

Found a YT video that looks about right. It should be the same as any B8 A4:

That's a good thought, it's about the right height. Got a replacement from eBay on its way, it's easy enough to change.

Broken tail light
I noticed the crazing around the edges of the light before seeing the impact in the clear section. Odd how the damage comes out at the edges.

Re: Extended Warranty Renewal
Yes, my all component cover went from £680 (for each of the previous three years), to £877 with the same switch of provider. Mine is a 62 plate, so it did cross my mind that it had reached 10 years. I had had a rear diff leak issue fixed under warranty this year (£250 excess rather than £870 full pr...

Mine are looking a bit tired, how much are you looking for, and whereabouts are you roughly?

Re: Rev counter
I think the paddles got bigger, mine are essentially hidden by the steering wheel, the later ones stick up more. I’m sure there are many more tweaks, but I’ve had mine since early 2013 (not having much patience I bought their demonstrator), so haven’t cross shopped for a later one. When I got mine t...

It’s the other way round. The early ones (like mine) have RS4, the facelifted ones just have RS.

Re: Audi RS4 B9 - Android?
The Tesla has a dirty great battery to provide offline heating and cooling. The RS4 would need to start the engine. Not necessarily safe.
A Webasto unit would be the way to go.

Re: Did Audi collaborate with Cadbury's when building the B8?
I’ve had mine five years too, and the front shocks and hoses failed August last year. The shocks were changed under warranty, and the split hoses which weren’t covered under warranty (as above) I had to pay £200 after dealer contribution (plus the £250 warranty excess in my case). Perhaps I should h...

Re: Who's been to see it in the flesh?
Had a look at one yesterday, still in the protective wrap. This one had matt silver detailing at the front which made it very fussy. Mind you I didn't like the aluminium trimmed ones before either. Not overly impressed by the inside (did get to sit in it and fire it up), very low sweep to the dash a...

Re: Disk replacement
I had front discs and pads (and front wipers ...) done at 28000 miles a couple of years ago for £1197 from a dealer.
£1200 for pads all round and rear discs sounds about right on that basis. Obviously, cheaper would be better

Re: tank capacity
I had the same the other day, £72 and about 56 litres (5 mile range on the gauge). There should always be something left in the tank at zero, I'd rather have a bit of leeway. You're welcome to try to find the absolute limit
Let us know how you get on!

Re: B8 RS4 driver select
If you put it in Auto it will generally run in Comfort unless you start pressing on in which case it will tighten up automatically. Quite funny when the exhaust note changes - bit like the car saying "go on, give it some beans" ;) I do remember the hesitation you mention a couple of times after I fi...
