I am old fashioned but with all my cars including the 6 I turn to ignition, give her 5 secs or so to prime, do base checks etc, then fire up. That also stops the bitching about the washer level. Also, did you do that revving on a stone cold engine? Just asking. been quite a few trips in it that day...
