So, dxben, never heard the outcome of the meltdown w/Audi. I'm guessing all is better now. What's up?

RS4 - 3000 mile Review

Hi guys. Thought I would post this for the B7 brigade here... RS 4 – How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. OK, my apology to The Bard, but the sentiment expressed is valid. In words that hit closer to home today – spoken by my 83-year-old father, “What an automobile!” It is truly an amazing aut...

RE: Re: RE: O God

I agree with Riz. While no offense is meant to the reviewer, the comments made are very subjective. We have read the exact opposite comments as well. Smooth linear power delivery, superb response, etc. etc. Clarkson's review was one of the most glowing I have seen to date, and he has driven everythi...

Hey! I resemble that remark!

Actually I prefer the term "experienced" not old, and especially not ancient. Old guys don't buy 420 HP cars. I still have all my hair, and play full contact jungle golf in the snow! (You'd have to see it to believe it!)

Another Poll-No Graph - What does everyone do for a living?

Not prying, just curious. Me? I'm a serial entrepeneur. No, not a lay about! I own two restaurants. One is a sports bar theme with Indoor Golf Simulators at a golf course in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. The other is a Tony Roma's franchise in the same general locale. I'm building another Tony Roma's...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: So, how old are you?

51 and proud of it. I've been a piston head my whole life. From late 60's - early 70's American Muscle Cars to European Sports Sedans. The RS4 will certainly be the ultimate on the list to date. I looked at a lot of cars including M3, M5, E55 AMG. Z06 Vette never made the radar. And I'm not old!!!

The wait is over! The wait begins...

Yep, the order system is open in The States. My dealer called today. My order was placed today. Avus Silver, Silver Leather, Premium Pkg. Sirius, Rear Airbags.

Of course, they said to expect a June delivery. We'll see. At least the real countdown begins now!

If The Stig really did post a 1.25, that puts it fully 3 seconds ahead of the M3 CSL. Very impressive indeed! I am also pleased to hear Clarkson's comment about the engine. We'll see soon... BTW, the TopGear schedule hasn't been released in the States yet, and I'll bet there are a few of us here tha...

I've got an order sitting out there somewhere. But I can't be bothered to chase it. Just not interested in a bling yank barge even if it looks like it has a particularly nice steering wheel. Lets see what the avant brings. Then by all means don't buy it! I'm on a wait list in a "yank" dealership. I...

But what's the whole story...

While times at The 'ring, 0-62kph times, slalom times and skidpad g's are germain to the comparison of cars, they certainly don't tell the whole story. I couldn't care less if this bimmer or that vette has a faster track time. I don't track my cars. I drive to work and to the store. Sometimes I take...
