Re: Upgraded suspension for performance rather than stance
1. Wow. Seriously. 2. Exactly! I actually think it's the dodgy dynamic steering too. My Huracan was the spyder, which had what was referred to as gen 2 dynamic steering. And it was truly perfect - you turn the wheel, the car goes exactly where you want it. With the RS6 you firstly get a bunch of rol...

Upgraded suspension for performance rather than stance
Hi everyone, I've had my C7 RS6 for three years now, MTM 730bhp on the dyno, and have always loved it - however I just spent three months driving a Huracan, and after selling it the RS6 just feels like a boat now. The acceleration is roughly the same, but as soon as you floor it and have to turn, it...

Re: RS6 Track Brakes
Yep I placed my deposit in 2010.. It was pretty much the first customer car from my dealer. The brakes have been the only issue though, so that's good. Thanks for reminding me. I'd got so used to the gold calipers I actually thought that was the original colour. But you're right, they'd got discolou...

Re: RS6 Track Brakes
Yes, that was weird to me as well. A third of the rear disc doesn't even get touched - very strange. How can you tell that the front calipers have had a lot of heat passing into them? The car is amazing on the track. Went from C5 to E60 M5 to C7, and each time the step up is a whole generational shi...

Re: RS6 Track Brakes
Nice, thank you, will definitely look into getting one of those as the replacement fluid. I actually emailed AP - used to have one of their big brake kits on a previous car - but apparently they don't have anything for the C7 RS6. Don't really want to be a test mule. Photos of the discs below. The c...

Re: RS6 Track Brakes
Best forum ever. LittleDevil - do you have experience with the o-brakes? Does anyone have them on their car? Certainly look promising. And cheaper :) Heden - I was "sort of" aware of this, ie I wasn't afraid to brake hard, but I'm not sure my confidence level allows me to just brake hard and once pe...

Re: RS6 Track Brakes
Looks like there's nothing then.. I was about to go standard audi steels but thanks for the advice, I'll give them a miss. Had them on a C5 a decade ago and they were awful on the track. And there are no aftermarket kits - emailed most of the tuners and the brake companies. When I say fried, I'm usi...

RS6 Track Brakes
I've been searching around the forum for an answer to this, but there doesn't seem to be one. Does anyone regularly track their C7 RS6, and if so then what brake setup is best? Now I know everyone's going to say that the RS6 isn't a track car and the answer is not to do it. But that's not what I'm a...

Track Day Brakes - C7 RS6
Does anyone take their RS6 on a track, and if so any suggestions for brakes? I have the ceramics and they are terrible. The pedal disappears after 10 minutes - either the fluid boils, or some other problem, and even worse after 3/4 track days I had to replace the full set of disks. So that's not goi...

Re: Official ordering of the RS6 C7
Air suspension without Dynamic Steering just meant that they didn't go for either Sports pack - there should be a couple of those floating around..

Re: Official ordering of the RS6 C7
Mine came in at £105k - got everything that was necessary and absolutely no exclusive stuff.
Also, got confirmation from the dealer that all UK models will have a 3 seater rear bench, not the 2 seater that is in all the photos on the internet

Re: Official ordering of the RS6 C7
Definitely specced the sunroof. My last RS6 was the first generation and didn't have it, and that was a bad move, both for use and resale. To be honest this is such a heavy car that it won't make that much of a difference. The Carbon pack only looks good on bold colours (the blue in the brochure is ...

Re: Official ordering of the RS6 C7
I placed a £1k holding deposit when the car was first announced and went into the showroom to spec up a car this weekend. The UK brochure is rather limited on features though, and in particular it doesn't give you an option to turn the rear seats (which are set up as 2 sports seats) into a 3 person ...
