Re: Carpet soaked.

Check the pollen filter up front. If it's deteriorated/ wet then the filter casing could be cracked and/ or the front drain is blocked, with water seeping into the cabin that way 🤔

Re: Auto dim rear view mirror glass

Thanks for getting this sorted out Chris and thanks for the quick turnaround John, great service. Just switched mine over (sorry, no pictures but I used the previous ones Chris posted for an idea of how it was out together). I used a plastic pick and a card (random loyalty card) to pry the housing o...

Re: Wing mirror glass

Wasn't there something about removing/ cutting the top layer to leave just the mirror, maybe that will resolve the water build up too?

Re: After market stereo problems

Just fitted a Pioneer unit (DA230). The Dynamic Sounds harness didn't work for me (with the FKIT-AUDI-23 kit), had some interference, so chopped all the speaker wires off and just used the RCA part from the PC9-408 instead. The PC9-410 would have been the easier choice (I bought a few). Another thin...

Re: Boot roller cover thingy

Lol @poo.

Are you sure it's the spring and not the plastic inside that snapped? Iirc there's a post to repair it (if you want to go down that route)

Is your full name Matt Leblanc and did you 'own' a Porsche before?

Good to see it being looked after in these cold months ;)

Re: Camberley Service and Warranty work - Oil Leak

Thanks for all your replies, they were a great help. I spoke to Chris @ JB and was a great help. He seemed to know his stuff and very knowledgeable. He's going to check the quote over and see what he could have done, what he would have claimed from the warranty and what he would have charged me. I a...

Re: Camberley Service and Warranty work - Oil Leak

Ok, the car went in on 07/05/15 for a weeks worth of work, that was for the oil leak (under warranty) and engine mounts. The day before I was to pick it up, I call them to confirm that it's ready but they tell that there's no way as the engine is still out. Lucky I called? They tell me that as they ...

Re: Camberley Service and Warranty work - Oil Leak

100k+ and with original turbos and gearbox iirc but all was on warranty, so if there were any problems, it would have been sorted. I spoke to the Warranty guys and said that this is procedure, they charge for a diagnostic check to source the problem, then if covered by warranty, then fine, otherwise...
