Re: 2016 RS6 on H&R Springs
Checking the (possibly) obvious - the drive select settings for dynamic makes the stock setup 'harder', H&R may not be effected...?

Re: Tax bracket ???
This relates to running a company car. Not Road fund license.shimalkharia wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 3:16 pmSorry for reviving this old thread. But, I was looking for some loopholes to minimize my taxes. I've heard that sometimes taxes you pay or your car also depend on your income. Do you know anything about that?

Re: Asking for bro-in-law
Yes. Without question. Who told him that there were no issues? An R8 Master tec on commission??! I looked at R8's before going for the RS6, but a deciding factor was how well documented most issues are for the 6 so you know what might be coming. Fear, uncertainty and doubt about how an R8 might sh*t...

Re: What to look out for!!
That era of Aston did 2 things really well: Look awesome. Sound Awesome (inside and out). As a driving experience it was OK, a real head turner. Mine was the 4.3 litre V8 (380BHP) rather than the later 4.7 which was a little more powerful and more refined. BUT - servicing cost was huge, but I had AM...

Re: What to look out for!!
The RS5 used the same DRC system as the RS4 B8, less problematic than the B7, but still prone to be expensive to fix in the event of failing. Not many reported issues around the 5 on this forum, but worth considering. My RS5 had an issued with warped rear disc, which dealer sorted. Could not find an...

Discs and pads
My (non carbon) front discs will be in need to replacement this summer, so researching for any experience of alternative brands that may be better than OEM? APEC read well, but seem a bit too good to be true for the price. Fully appreciate OEM is there for a reason, however tech has moved on with 'c...

Re: Ghost immobiliser vs Scorpion x series
I tried to fit a Ghost to my 2017 C7 PE and the fitter could not do it due to the pre-17 cars having different wiring.

Re: Selling car
It can be frustrating as a buyer if the service, MOT or warranty history - particularly indi or MOT advisories - 'suggest' a fault or remedy work is needed during the life of the vehicle. From a previous purchase I made (Merc, not Audi), an independent specialist document revealed a suspected issue ...

Re: For sale: 2014 B8 RS4 Avant in Sepang Blue
Audi rules are pretty clear.
'This warranty cannot be transferred to another owner or vehicle'. Same principle as RFL not transferable when a vehicle is sold these days.
I had the same when I sold my B8 a few years ago, but it only had 6 weeks left so did not seek a refund on the remaining cover.
