Re: For sale - 2004 C5 Plus number 150
I bought the car from Lee back in 2013, not had any issues with the gearbox. The key thing apparently (according to Unit 20) is to look after it and avoid putting it under undue stress with things like full bore acceleration in 1st gear regularly. So I have heeded their advice!

Hi Lee - feel free to buy it back!
I've not changed the gearbox, it is still fine, I drive like a Grandad as usually have wife and kids in the car!
Cheers

Re: For sale - 2004 C5 Plus number 150
I do wonder if you've undervalued No.150. I've just had my Plus valued for an agreed value policy with Adrian Flux. They made me use an independent IAEA engineer. http://www.iaea-online.org/ He's come back with a figure of £19750. The car has 83,000 miles on it. Hi Bishbosh, Thanks for the info, us...

SOLD - 2004 C5 Plus number 150 - £13,995
I've taken a few new pics of the car and revised the price further. For sale is my 2004 RS6 Plus, number 150. If I recall correctly it is one of c. 77 or so that came to the UK. Being the Plus model it came with a bit of extra oomph (480bhp) plus the larger screened RNS-E media system and various ot...

Hi Mav,
Not sure what the official name is off the top of my head, but it's a dark grey colour.
Cheers

Pondering selling my C5 Plus (#150)
Evening folks, I'm thinking of selling my black 2004 C5 Plus Avant (number 150). I've owned the car for nearly 5 years, prior to that it was owned by another forum member. It's done just over 100k miles and has been looked after for the past 7 or so years by Martin and team @ Unit 20, and has had wh...

Re: Upgrading my knob
So, for the benefit of anyone else who may suffer a similar bout of technical incompetence, I have at least managed to solve the issue of the silver knob popping back into the body of the stick. The solution? A kids' toothbrush. The sort with a small sucker on the end for attaching it to the sink. J...

Re: Upgrading my knob
So - I managed to pull the silver thing down eventually. Initially tried some mole grips wrapped in cloth but hadn't released how weak the material was that the sleeve was made from, so have managed to scratch/dent it. And then after trying the new knob and needing to make more modifications t...

Re: Dectanes
I only have experience of the LED ones and can vouch for them being entirely unsuitable. I fitted some and removed them after a few weeks as they were dangerous - people just couldn't see the indicators well enough (not even just in sunlight, they were very angle dependent) and I was subject to many...

Upgrading my knob
Morning all, My poor knob is well past its best. 85,000 miles of various people's sweaty hands on it have made it all worn and shiny. :-( After reading somewhere on the web that the C6 RS6 knob will fit the C5 with a little modification, I now have one ready to fit that will match nicely the new ste...
