Just ordered a Golf R myself

Got a B8.5 S4 at then moment, so a little anxious that I have made the right move.

Got a cracking deal though.

Depends on what you call jerky.

I came from a stick shift and all the gear changes are smoother than in my previous car. I barely notice them pootling about, and even on WOT they are fairly smooth. The main thing I usually notice are the upshift farts , but no physical jerkiness to talk of.

In short, no.

In my service book, when they did the last oil service none of the inspection boxes have been recorded 'yes'.

The only box ticked 'yes' is the oil change.

Try doing it with your foot off the brake

I use to have this problem & it was very frustrating.

I'm sure it was because I kept my foot on the pedal.

No. Its not possible. ADS is the interface that controls the three options - diff, dampers, steering. You cannot order any of them without ADS. The manual says that if you hold the electronic handbrake for a prolonged period when moving it will perform an emergency stop, braking all four wheels.

Anyone tried it? Wondering how fierce it is?
