Ok, mine does NOT have Google maps.

How do I know if I have a 3G+ unit? Sorry I'm a total noob.

Seems complicated and dangerous. What improvements are there with the firmware and map updates? Are they significant?

Would either bbk be a straight fit?

I'd need pictures to be able to decide? Are they both 8 pot?

Does anyone know where I can download the latest Audi satnav updates from?

Pls PM me if necessary. Appreciate the help.

P.S. How does one check the map version and what is the latest version?

Doesn't sound like my engine. Plug in a VCDS and see if there are any fault codes logged

How old is the car?

Mine had several...had a whole valve train replaced, tensioners, cam shaft, oil valves, the list goes on... B8? B8 Black Edition MY2013 - so one of the later ones. I'm still giving the dealership stick as the engine has the periodical misfire fault codes registered on some of the cylinders that VCD...

You sure that you don't have a small air leak some where?

Never noticed myself. How long does the headlight have to be on for?

My S4 has been to the dealership so many times that I'm not sure if its safe to get it remapped?

Cost for mechatronic should be around £1500. I'd imagine the cost for entire DSG gearbox would be closer to £4500.
