Original C5 RS6 5 spoke 19s for sale
Moving back to Ireland and selling the car with the winter tyres on it, so, I will be selling my set of original 5 spoke 19s with Michelin PS2 on them. Wheels are straight, no boinks, boings, buckles etc. but some scuffs and scratches so for the perfectionist, they'd need a refurb. The tyres were fi...

Re: Non heating lambda sensor
Yeah, car going like a bullet, no misfires, no lean running etc. everything good except for that engine light..... Because ECU is not sending current on Z19 lambda sensor heating circuit on start up.

Re: Non heating lambda sensor
Thanks guys, tried switching connectors but problem still exists. Probably means that I didn't actually need the new lambdas that were recently fitted.
New thread because i had and "oh no" moment.....

Re: Non heating lambda sensor
It wouldn't draw a current if it's not working Yes, so it looks, unfortunately, like I'll have to have somebody look very carefully at my ECU. To see what's happened, how to repair. Only fails from cold start, 600 C and I'm laughing but means driving everywhere with VAG COM to reset engine light ev...

Re: Non heating lambda sensor
It's saying that the z19 heating element is not drawing a current. Brilliant.

Non heating lambda sensor
So the engine light comes on because the ECU is failing to tell the lambda sensor to heat.
No results for that found on search function. Anyone ever encounter that before?
Specialist says new ECU needed, or existing one examined/reflashed etc?
Help.....

Non heating lambda sensor...
So, it's a non-heating lambda sensor that's causing my engine light to come on. Specialist tells me that ECU is not matching with the lambdas. Make sense? Anyone ever come across this before? Search function returned zero results....
Help?

Re: Funny thing
I wondered about the mapping, thought it would be straightforward to detect but obviously not quite so. Bit risky then thinking that insurance is adequate when it might not be....... Yes, I'm based in the Czech Republic and had another couple of top speed blasts on German autobahn last week which qu...

Funny thing
Replaced the lambda sensors 'cos the VAG COM told me to and now it looks like I've a loose wire somewhere which will actually cause me sleepless nights. Hope I find it soon cos job is moving me outta continental Europe and off to a place where there just isn't enough road to enjoy it. After experien...

Re: Dealer servicing
No way, that it most unusual. Must be a Czech thing. Where I am if you don't turn up at the dealer in a suit no-one even bothers to try to serve you. Might explain it, I turned up in a suit to drop it in and collect it 2 hours later. Might wear a tuxedo next time to see if I get an even better price.

Dealer servicing
Went to AUDI dealer to get new brakes fitted and remember I'm based in Prague. Was surprised when dealer told me after fitting the brakes that the cost was substantially less than I expected. All in, discs and pads were charged at nearly cost price and labour was only €28 per hour. That's a main dea...

Re: Oh dear, Smashed rear window!!!
It won't be cheap and make sure AUDI get the tint right. Had to replace a full rear door window recently and the dealer got a 1 tint instead of the correct 2 tint to replace it. Minor but annoying.

Re: Bedding in new brakes and discs what procedure?
I love the search function...... Right, gonna bed my new front brakes in before my 350km autobahn run tomorrow evening. So, new brakes, new gearbox bits and pieces, full service and the only things now needed are new lambda sensors and another more detailed look at the radiator. OEM discs and pads f...

Re: Age old tyre question
Torsen wind up? Probably also explains why some tyres come with RO1 designation specifically for Audi quattro spec models. And I thought RO1 meant that it was just made with a different inner shoulder to clear el knobblo. Interesting, could be plausible. In any case, yeah, I always get a set of 4 ty...
