Nogaro Blue B5 RS4 **highly modified**

2019-09-06 13.56.31.jpg I have owned this car since 2006. It was my daily driver for about 3 years but the time has come to move her on.She has been professionally modified with only the best parts. the car is a beast. It runs around 585bhp (rolling road printouts available). Some of the spec inclu...

Re: Audi Driver International 2016 poor this year

TOTALY agree to what you have said!!! I said it as well during and right after the event! TRACK time well overbooked!!! This was greedy and unfair to all that have booked. Myself only managed 2 sessions out of 3 booked. And even than I had no time to walk around and take pictures myself or chat to ...

Audi Driver International 2016 poor this year

I've been holding off writing this post as I have been in discussion with ADI about the over-subscription of track users and also John Gaisford about getting some photos. I have managed to get virtually nowhere with either. I have been attending this event for many years. I had 6 track passes for 2 ...

Maximum power on standard MAF?

I have heard mixed views on what the limitation of the standard MAF is. My car was on 592bhp and have upgraded all internals and put matched 2.4 heads on. Some say that the MAF cannot read glow above these kind of numbers?

Re: Freshen up suspension

Agree with that. I went through the suspension overhaul options earlier this year, and Lloyd gave some excellent advice and tips (thanks again!). Given the originality of my car, and that I won't be doing trackdays in this car, I stuck with OEM all round - replaced everything I could at the time. I...

Re: Freshen up suspension

Do the poly bushes allow more noise into the cabin though?

Are there any better damper options other than OEM?

Thanks

Freshen up suspension

The suspension on my RS2 has always been quite crashy compared ot others I have driven but it's got a lot worse recently. My car has covered 118k miles and so I'm guessing that it still has the original suspension and bushes. My thoughts are an upgrade to decent dampers and renew suspension bushes. ...

Re: RS2 MAF

If you have a local friendly garage, they should be able to get you a remanufactured one (by bosch, don't touch the ebay ones) . I paid about £60 each for mine while the Audi price was about 4 times that. Thanks for that. Where do they source them from as I can't find any info on remanufactured one...

RS2 MAF

Been a while since I bought one of these but I seem to remember them being about £60-80.

Mine is broken and so got a price from Audi of £280 and German and Swedish for £220!!! WTF???? :bash:

Unfortunately, I can't find the original one after too many years. And want to buy a pr of new stock header. Re: RE: Rebuild RS4 gearbox?

Loads of info on this over on AudiSRS. General consensus seems to be "buyer beware" when buying a 2nd hand box as many of them have worn synchros and/or whine. JHM do a full rebuild kit including the uprated synchro kit. It's not cheap to do a proper job though. Thanks for that. Had a quick look fo...

Rebuild RS4 gearbox?

With the power that's going through my gearbox it's no surprise that it's started to give up the ghost a bit. Idler shaft is very noisy, bit of a crunch 1st to 2nd and sometimes baulks going into first. Question is whether it's worth picking up a 2nd hand unit off of a standard car or whether anyone...
