Re: RS5 B8 brakes on RS4 B5

RS5/RS4 B8 discs are the same offset as C5 RS6 discs so won't be direct fit on a B5.

Pads should work though as they use the same 8 pot caliper.

Re: Recoding an ECU in Surrey

Depending on where in Surrey you are it may be worth having a chat with Tutts in Dorking.

Nice, helpful guys in there but I'm unsure how good their RS knowledge is.

Re: Had the car detailed and massively chuffed with the resu

Looks lovely Gaz. Wish I'd known you took it to the box hill meet this weekend, I'd have come to have a look as I only live in Dorking.

Re: Seen this?

I must say I like the way the bonnet vents have been done on that compared to other attempts. Would be more subtle on a dark colour car though. 7 seats were a factory option, my S6 has them too. Those ones look to have been retrofitted though as my factory fitted ones mean there are extra cup holder...

Re: Bonnet Venting

Wonder if its worth removing the rear under bonnet rubber weatherstrip so heat gets drawn out and over the windscreen. It's a common misconception that air flows OUT at the back of a bonnet. Hence why you don't see race cars with the back end lifted up essex style. There is normally a HIGH PRESSURE...

Re: Steering Wheel Porn!

What's the point of them? Er to change gear whilst driving fast. Both hands on the wheel whilst putting 500 bhp down. The gearbox does that "automatically" ...... :bigblink: You tried driving fast while letting the gearbox make the decisions? It's better than most autos I've driven but still pretty...

Re: South meet box hill Surrey, 16th feb 11:30am

I used to miss out on bits cos I didn't look through all the forums. Now I just use the view unread posts button at the top. That way you see all posts from all forums. +1 I think the low turnout was mainly due to most people having already gone to the Kent meet a few weeks ago. The rikers car park...

Like I said I've got coilovers in the garage waiting to fix that and you've made my mind up about getting a set of black genuine RS4 wheels for it. :)

Was good to meet a few guys today. Should have gone up and down the zig zag, took the S6 up after you guys left and had a laugh making a few cyclists jump :)

Re: what RNSE

I guess you could use the 4 digits to get directions to the general area, then because you get there SO FAST you would have plenty of time spare to hunt round for the exact place where you're supposed to be.

Not to bad I guess :thumb:

Re: what RNSE

So if I bought a brand new R8 today it would still only do 4 digits?

How can Audi think that's acceptable?
