Re: Ceramic discs replacement mileage experience

Amazing Intel there. Expensive option but perhaps cheaper than steel in the long run. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk It gets better... I had the brake judder issue... so audi paid £9k of the cost and it only cost me £1,000 to have them fitted! [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapata...

Re: Ceramic discs replacement mileage experience

Mine had ceramics fitted at about 30,000 miles, currently on 180,000 and they were assessed as 20% worn recently

Re: New discs - Wobble under braking.

Have you had the alloys refurbished recently? My car turned into a case study for the audi chief techs (multiple sets of discs and pads getting brake judder), the best guess in the end was that it was linked to the alloy refurbishment. (They fixed it by fitting ceramics - not what you want for selli...

Re: Worth keeping DRC for best resale value?

Personally I'd prefer a car with DRC (I've had mine replaced recently) but you have to be happy with the higher costs - so it might be a smaller pool of buyers but potentially prepared to pay a bit more... who knows!

Re: New purchase.. Found Oil leak

If you have to sort it yourself, take it to MRC in Banbury. I've had my RS4 over 9 years and use them for anything significant. In my experience MRC know these cars better than audi these days (they've just given my car an overhaul, it was worth taking it down there from Newcastle) Sent from my SM-G...

Re: Low power and 6500 rpm limit

Check the lambda sensors. Sounds a little like the edge of it tripping into limp mode (not sure from the post how great the loss of acceleration is)

Go to MRC in Banbury - little bit of a trip but more than worth it

Re: How many owners is too many?

My tuppence worth - in general two things happen with new owners. They get a new toy so there's a temptation to push it and see what it can do. But that new flush of pride often means a high performance car gets looked after well, but after a while complacency can set in and staying on top of jobs c...

Re: Black door badges

Black tipped exhausts (and the rest of the black optics pack) are great with daytona grey!

Can't help with the door badge question, but completely recommend MRC for the map, carbon clean and anything else mechanical on a B7.

Where to go to replace/ repair bolster leather

The bolster on my driver's seat (bucket seats) has split, any recommendations for people who can repair it?

Remember a post from ages ago about someone who'd had some great work done repairing his seats but can't find it!

Thanks,

Richard

Moving from a B7 RS4

Has anyone moved over from a B7 RS4? How did you find it? Considering a move, have had a test drive, interested to see how people who've lived with it for longer have found it.

Re: Midlands Meet - 20th March?

Add me to the maybe list - we currently have a baby in the women's hospital and I'm away on the Friday for my brother's 40th so my wife tells me I'm taking the piss by asking but would like to come if I can!
