Re: Is everyone selling up???

As for selling up, I’ve debated it many a time simply because it was a hero car for me from my teenage years but the reality is these days there are cheaper and more reliable ways to to go much faster. And that is why certain cars increase in value. How else would you explain the Ford RS mentalness...

Re: Rs6 and the ring?

Go with someone else in your group and half the driving and fuel costs?

Failing that it depends how much faith you have in your car, and how much you push it. We can all say we could hold back, but on the ring I could seen caution been thrown to the wind when you are actually there.

Re: new owner.

Remember that average is average. I think most will agree that the average will not be taken over a mile or 2 specifically helpful to hypermiling. Mine is just average driving over 2000 plus miles. I am however lucky enough to not get stuck in stop start traffic for miles on end, ever. I am aware t...

Re: new owner.

19-21 MPG ? Sorry but you lie ! It's possible. Though depends where in the country you live. Previous to picking mine up in the Midlands it indicated 19mpg and an average of 19mph. Where we live my average is nearly 40mph and an indicated 24mpg. It's not bad on long runs considering its heavy, shap...

Re: Suspension Options

I have standard springs with KONI's and have no complaints. Especially for the £600 I think they cost. Wasn't easy sourcing standard springs, but glad I held out. I have a brand new set of DRC shocks if/when I decide to try it. Though I guess the central valves will need a refurb and I need to figur...

Re: PRNDS fault sanity check.

For the clunkIng, it might just be old ATF. When’s the last time you replaced the fluid and strainer? It was playing around with the gear selector and getting the sport icon to highlight when pushing the gear stick slightly out of position that makes me think the F125 might be on the way out. Would...

PRNDS fault sanity check.

On my way to pick the car up from the garage. Over the last 2 years had the odd PRNDS error where all the gear selections go red. This is following nothing happening when selecting drive for a moment followed by a clunk and the error making itself known. Turn off, back on and all good, sometimes not...

Standard springs, which took quite a time to source!

Re: DRC repair using home made fluid transfer tool

Mine lost the DRC at approx 70k miles. They were replaced with H&R coilovers, which dropped the ride height and made it look somewhat more purposeful, but rode like a bag of bolts. By 110k and 4 years later the H&R's were saggy as hell and were rubbing the arch liners. There was also evidence of the...

Any longer and we'll never know what the problem was.

They'll be too busy working through the myriad of other issues that have made themselves known after been stuck in the yard for so long

Re: Front discs & pads

I think they know with the discount and with their overheads they are selling at a loss. I saw the eBay ones and like you say virtually the same price. What I'd love to do when I get time and the right source material is to see what other discs with the right spacers/adaptors could possibly do the f...

Very nice, in the best colour too.

I thought my seats were in decent condition. Seeing those seats I realise mine are knackered.

Received an email from ECP today stating they are unable to supply the discs and are cancelling my order.
