I see where you are coming from, but I can't help preferring an unmolested example, and a retrim (to me) seems unfaithful to the original, I know I know, Im off to put back on my white jacket! I think that probably might be the route I might be taking . . . I have been looking about a fair bit, and will keep looking for a little longer (I'm in no rush - need to make sure I've exhausted all avenues), but its looking like either I go for a different coloured car, or a retrim :/

Afaik, you can't remove the door cards Alcantara wrapped section to change them, and in any case I reckon that unless you retrim the entire car, there will always be a glaringly obvious (and extremely annoying) difference between new + old . . . I really am my worst enemy

I often wondered if it looked 'more' silvery than usual, but put it down to the black optics making the colour stand out more?

The BHP + from what I can see looks a bit suspect, granted I havent called to enquire but the alloys look too 'black' and there's no number plaque on the centre consol/gearbox cover . . . :? Now, I suppose this could be because a recent re-spray of the wheels might h=not have been an OEM colour matc...

To be fair - quite a few car pics I have seen online recenlty you can hardly tell . . . but in the flesh its chalk and cheese, nothing wrong with avus, just my own preference really
