Bumping this thread since I'm almost at 3 years and looking into replacements - might keep mine but fancy a change. No idea what to get - Tried an RS3 - was nice BUT it would piss me off the news of a FL being imminent C7 is too big, we have an SQ5 in the house so that ticks the boxes for dog haulin...

There was a TSB but not sure it was a recall. Mine had it done when it was venting steam out of the bonnet.....although this only affected early cars 2009-early 2010. After that they had the new parts.

Car is booked in Friday to have new pads and discs fitted.

Harsh braking on mine from at 60+ is now causing bad vibrations

Had the same thing twice now in 4 months. Shrugged it off but thought it was strange at the time. Seems odd now reading quite a few people with it.

Strange comparison. Nice cars the new 3 series, but it would depend entirely on how much mileage I was doing. Lower the mileage I would take the petrol equivalent everytime. 435i or S4. I have dynamic steering and it's ok, but it's taking me a while to get used to it coming from my S4 which was hydraulic. Not a massive fan of comfort since it's far too light for me.

I'm on long life but will get it switched over to fixed since I do low miles 7k avg

I've had the counter weights put onto mine now and it's pretty much sorted it. I say pretty much I've heard the squeak a couple of time but it's a million times better. Doesn't sound like a bus anymore
