Just taken my car in today for its test and unfortunately failed. 1st was the rear tyre has a chunk missing on the sidewall. 2nd Was nearside lower trailing arm has excessive play in a ball joint (2.4.g.2) Doesn't look too bad really. Obviously the tyres easy to replace and I'll get that this week. ...

If it were the discs then the vibration would be a lot worse under light braking and much improved under hard.
