Re: Sticky Clutch Pedal

Hrm, interesting. If I'm reading this right, you had every aspect of the clutch hydraulics and assembly replaced and still experienced the problem? Yes you are. As far as I was aware and had been told by the dealer all elements of the clutch had been replaced. However, I wouldn't be surprised if th...

Thanks TimDogg. Nottingham was far enough away from where I live, Camberley is significantly further.

Re: B7 RS4: more trouble than it's worth

The problem is that I paid through the nose buying the car from an Audi dealer for peace of mind. It would have cost a lot of money to put right the list of issues with that car even with an independent. With hindsight I wouldn't do that again but when the right car comes up with the right spec one ...

I can't remember the exact mileage but I only did a total of 12k in the car and the problem returned after a period of about 3 months IIRC.

Re: B7 RS4: more trouble than it's worth

The car has left me with the feeling that Audi are out of their depth with the RS4. The problem you had was a poor/bad/incompetent DEALER, not with AUDI - this problem happens with most (all?) car brands, so I think it's very unfair of you to say the problem is with either Audi or the RS4. Having s...

Re: Sticky Clutch Pedal

The clutch return pipe was done first before the rest of the clutch. As the master, slave and return pipe were all replaced it's fair to say that the fluid was also changed. Even an Audi main dealer wouldn't put used fluid back in?

Even that only worked for 2k miles on my car

B7 RS4: more trouble than it's worth

After 13 months of ownership of which I was in possession of the car for just 10.5 months I have thrown in the towel and sold my car back to the dealer I bought it from. Not only has it been non-stop trouble but they (Audi main dealer) have demonstrated a complete inability to resolve the issues wit...

so, just to recap; car warm, clutch out, rev engine, no sticking. Clutch depressed, rev engine, clutch should stick?

Re: Rear right creak

To all AVANTS with a squeaky rear end: have you tried removing the load space cover? I am fairly sure that on mine the squeak was coming between this an the N/S trim. This would also explain why the squeak goes away if you fold the seats flat. I use furniture polish to eliminate squeaks- seems to wo...

Just did that this morning. You're all correct. They are heated and they do get warm to the touch. Every cloud has a silver lining.
Thanks all.

Bird strike- wing mirror question

My wing mirror made high speed contact with a fat pigeon this morning. It dislodged the mirror glass from the housing and the housing from the door. The mirror glass was only held on by 2 spade terminals and wires on the back. It seems that the glass has a heater element and power supply but my car ...
