Re: An interesting journey home.....
I googled as well, I'm going to check the car out but is it usual for the symptoms to come and go if the ecu is on its way out?

An interesting journey home.....
Ok, so I've not had any reoccurrence of the p0491 and p0492 codes which is good... but I've had a few other problems...... Please no flaming me, I'm very emotional at the moment  So after an very heavy night out, my wife drove the car for me to fuel up for our return journey, went to a Shell g...

Re: Secondary Air error codes
I'll see what I can get ultra gauge too do, if not then I'll use vcds. There is no rough running and it hasn't happened again......surely there should be a fingers crossed or touch wood icon?

Re: Secondary Air error codes
My thoughts as well but with a bit of a language barrier here, I'd thought it best to ask.

Secondary Air error codes
I made it to Spain this time and the car was faultless :jump_clap: but after being parked up for a week I got the p0491 and po492 error codes. I cheated and used ultra gauge to clear them and it hasn't reoccurred, checked as much of the hoses as I could get to with a limited tool kit and nothing see...

Re: Solar Battery Charger?
Had quite a long look at these and as usual with forum/reviews there is lots of positive and negative opinions, a lot of professors of physics and not a straightforward answer. General gist seems to be that you need a lot of wattage to charge a car battery and in this country you don't often get eno...

Re: Lazy question time....
I'll have a look into it when I get back from holiday. I just changed the headlight bulbs for a slightly brighter light ( 5000K ) and also changed the sidelight bulbs to Led, so far with no problems. Just thought I'd look at changing the rears as well, did look at the Dectane and In.pro lights but u...

Lazy question time....
Thinking about changing some of my rear bulbs to led but can't seem to find a list of what bulbs are used in the rear clusters.
Anyone know which ones I need?
Thanks

Solar Battery Charger?
Only having a poverty spec 6 I don't have a sunroof, so I was wondering if these solar battery chargers are any good? I use an Ultragauge which seems to put a slight drain on the battery if not used for a while. So my thinking is that the car is going to Spain, it won't be used that much for 3 weeks...

Re: Tyre Pressure Sensors
If you have vagcom, you can read the info from the sensors ( tyre pressure, ambient temp, battery life remaining, position and a few more ). I did mine recently and had no issues. I ordered from Alloy Wheels Direct and got HUF BERU RDE001 TPMS tyre pressure sensor. What sort of sensors are you using...

Re: Roof Box dilemma
Just ordered the 9582 bars and the Motion 600....in black. Did a bit of googling and it doesn't look at all bad with Daytona, certainly less garish than silver.
Thanks for all your help gents.
