Re: Audi Driver select options - salesmen are useless

You can spec ADS and it has options to adjust all. Then you can choose to add damper control, dynamic steering and the sports diff. I assumed therefore that the option was specified clearly in the option menu. It looks like on the facelift car it's prefixed dyn. And on facelift cars it's the full w...

Re: Audi Driver select options - salesmen are useless

Just to clarify, Ive got dynamic steering and have just photographed my 3g mmi ,so for a car that has dynamic steering it must say that.In your original photo of the 3g mmi it only says steering so it doesn't have the Dynamic steering option. It has the drop down box though? So you can chose betwee...

Re: Audi Driver select options - salesmen are useless

No, I don't have dynamic steering and have all the options shown on the 3g mmi That was what I was suggesting, there may be a difference in spec between the wording "Dynamic Steering" and "Steering" showing up in the MMI. Interestingly on a 2g MMI when you use VCDS to active drive select only, it w...

Re: Audi Driver select options - salesmen are useless

Looks to me like they both have all the Drive Select options, but someone with Dynamic Steering could confirm the exact wording on their car. (Dynamic Steering or Steering). Tay Read my previous post. The difference is the mmi itself ,the pre facelift is 2g the facelift is 3g hence the different wo...

Re: Audi Driver select options - salesmen are useless

Looking at used cars and asking the sales people for spec returns all sorts of weird and wonderful answers   So I thought I'd just get them to take pictures of the MMI screen with ADS selected, however this has just left me more confused, lol The first picture is of an s-tronic facelift car, t...

Re: Audi Service Standards- Region to Region

Bath Audi who I use are pretty damn good and I always go to them instead of my local dealer in Bristol. I always deal with the same two guys whether it is buying, selling, service etc etc. Servicing?! Nice try - you cannot slip that one passed us - you've never had an Audi long enough for it to nee...

Re: Why the RS 3 handles so badly

Ahuh, singing an engine's tuning potential isn't saying it's characterful... or is it? This. The 3.0 V6 is a stonking plant no question with greater tuning potential than the straight five. Hand MRC 750 quid and you have 460 bhp. However the B8 S4 would definitely have greater soul with the straigh...

Re: Why the RS 3 handles so badly

Its a bit characterless. Straight five for the next S4? Wishful thinking I'd image, but it would be awesome, it was a shame the RS3 / TTRS engine didn't go in the B8 S4 when it arrived back in 2009 A bit characterless LOL ,lots of people{including you} on here were singing its praises not so long a...

Re: Why the RS 3 handles so badly

Driving the rear and front wheels compromises engine position, the RS3 engine is better positioned than many 4WD cars because it's transverse not longitudinal (RS2) It's a worthwhile compromise because of the vastly superior power delivery and better performance The new platform may be better sorte...
