Re: DRC hose replacement

getting back to the OP's original question I have just had this done myself (last 2 weeks). The pipe from Audi (OSR) was £220 IIRC and the recharge was £275 inc VAT by Volksmaster in Bury. Only thing is today I found the shock leaking. Turns out the thing was weak and it's blown the seal when the fa...

Re: Floor mats

Seller promises that they fit. The outline looks correct so will see when they get here. One way or another I'll post a link so that people can either buy or avoid. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk How did you get on Doug? Im in the same boat wanting a replacement (well extra) set and have had ...

Clicking relay in boot of Avant

Hi all My car has developed an annoying clicking from the luggage compartment of my 09 Avant. When turning the car off there is around 10 seconds or so of silence and then I hear something 'click/power down' and then starts a rhythmic but quite loud ticking sound from what sounds like the boot relay...

Re: About to see a big bill!!!!!

I think that's all fair enough and thanks for the pointer on the pipes- ill get the garage to be more specific about which ones they are. I had one of these things when they were new and remember vividly the invoices that were going back to Audi UK under warranty. Of course 10 years on even more is ...

Re: About to see a big bill!!!!!

Sounds like your decision is already made. These cars are sometimes a labour of love. If your heart's not in it, then you're probably going to resent spending that money. I havent made my mind up as much as I sound as I really enjoy the car but you are bang on the money about the heart needing to b...

Re: About to see a big bill!!!!!

I know this bill isnt the worst but it's already stung me for £3700 for the gearbox last year. It's the £/mile calculation that sounds bad. I know it needs reear brakes too plus I want to get the suspension arms done as they have begun to rattle over bumps and other surfaces. The cumulative bill wil...

About to see a big bill!!!!!

I'm torn. About 2 weeks ago my RS6 dropped into limp home mode on the way home. A 3 hour mess around with the RAC/recover truck ensued. Turns out the Intercooler pipe had disconnected from the car. Unfortunately when driving home all was not well. Idle was lumpy, boost restricted and the car was hol...

Re: Ridiculously hard ride

Meyle HD seem to the ones to go for, just be aware that while the kit is a generic one for the A6 the RS6 lower arms are RS6 specific and need to be bought separately as the ones in the A6 kit won't work. More info - http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=93727 Guys - thank you big time for the...

Re: Ridiculously hard ride

Just a note to say I finaaaaalllllllly got my car back from the garage. A big thank you to those that helped with the settings - I'm pleased to report that the ride feels much, much better now :) The garage did say though that upon close inspection some of the suspension bushes were showing some wea...

I don't think they have separate reservoirs. Stand to be corrected though but didn't see any when I took photos

Re: Ridiculously hard ride

Thanks Amanda.

Is that 7-9 clicks from min or from max?

I'm presuming ride height won't have a massive effect on 'crashiness'?

Thanks - that's useful.

Amanda is your set up on the stickie?

Re: Ridiculously hard ride

Springiness? Eh? What did they do exactly? The KW V3 need to be removed from the car for a proper adjustment. I know. Stoopid, innit? There's a thread in the stickies about people's settings. Ahhhh, they need to come off do they?? So our view is that the V3's shouldn't be too harsh if set up correc...
