Re: SOLD: Black 2007 RS4 B7 Saloon (47k miles) - £20.950

They were great to do business with to be honest, easiest car sale I have had, money transferred immediately. I have the contact details of the buyer who was excellent so if anyone else is looking to sell, pm me, as the price I received was very good compared to the other avenues I explored. Shame i...

Re: SOLD: Black 2007 RS4 B7 Saloon (47k miles) - £20.950

Yes, I sold it to a trader, will be surprised if they get that for it but good luck to them if they do especially as front discs are on the edge but I guess a 20% mark up is fairly standard. Will be interesting to see what warranty they offer as that is Audi dealership pricing and you see many sat o...

Re: dealer de-carbon description

On any sign of carbon issues, such as sticky flaps/EPC lights then Audi do not repair they generally spec up a new inlet manifold at £3k++ including labour.

Re: SOLD: Black 2007 RS4 B7 Saloon (47k miles) - £20.950

Webuyanycar was 18500 but they always reduce that on viewing.

I think I could of maybe held out for 21500/22000 but needed it gone quick.

FYI, Parkers had private sale wiith the mileage as 18900-21350 and dealer as 22-23k. Trade in was 19k.

Re: SOLD: Black 2007 RS4 B7 Saloon (47k miles) - £20.950

Yes, price always helps.

I paid 22,750 for it 1 year ago and did 10k miles and to be fair it was due a new set of front brakes at some point in the future and I tried to reflect this in the price.

So £2k depreciation for a years motoring seemed a fair deal.

Re: SOLD: Black 2007 RS4 B7 Saloon (47k miles) - £20.950

Yes, very quick, sold with 2hours on Pistonheads and just seen it drive off. A bit gutted to be honest. I was not expecting it to go that quickly so not 100% sure on the replacement but will now be stuck using my wifes Smart for a week or two. Some fanstastic lease deals on M5/M3/C63's at the moment...

Re: Possible dead engine :(

Well done for getting the right result. Push them for replacing clutch and also a 2 year warranty on the engine too. I know someone who had an engine replacement and managed to get this so he effectively had 5 years warranty on the car from new and a brand new clutch/flywheel (car had done 30k miles...

Re: rear seat child protection devices?

As mentioned above, I use the following - Maxi-Cosi Pebble Seat - Maxi-Cosi Famly Fix ISOFIX base - Price Lionheart 2- part seat saver All seems to work well. Another question to add to this, which seat do you place the kids in? - the general recommendation is centre rear seat for optimum safety how...

Re: Oil

I was told by any Audi technician that this is identical to the consumer available Edge 5W-30 however it is branded differently for the trade maket. The only place you can buy Professional is from garages/dealers where prices are crazy. thanks this is great feedback - is anyone buying the story from...

G13 Coolant

Is anyone using this? I recently purchased some g12 plus plus coolant online to keep in the boot, however when it arrived it was G13. Having spoke with the supplier he confirmed that G12 is no more and that this can be used to top up g12. It is a genuine VAG bottle and all new cars apparently use th...
