Re: Rs4 B8 Non res. Miltek
Hi Dave, how are you getting on with the Miltek now you have the additional silencer fitted? Did it get rid of the 'drone' that starts when the valves open? We have just got back from carfest and the trip with the nonres system was a pain with the family. I found myself constantly trying to drive ar...

Re: Sliding Roof Bars
I completely goofed and didnt take a pic with them extended :( if you look at https://www.thule.com/en-gb/gb/roof-rack/roof-bars/thule-slidebar-891-_-891000 That will give you a good idea of how they work. Next time I put them on the car I'll take a few pics. Note that they are a bit chunky compared...

Sliding Roof Bars
Peeps, Thought I'd mention that I tried my new Thule sliding roof bars over the weekend. They are really good and allow you to put stuff (bikes in my case) on and off the car without the risk of dropping stuff onto the car or worrying about the paintwork when leaning over the car etc. Much easier an...

C7 RS6 Brake Upgrade
Hi Peeps, thought I'd put a quick post out about my RS6 Brake Upgrade ... I bought a set of RS6 calipers and Discs from Glen (Revolution) a few weeks ago, took the car up there and his guys fitted them, what can I say ... wow... this is how the car should have been from the factory. It feels like a ...

Re: Hesitancy on light throttle/surging
Hiya,
if it doesn't happen very often I'd say it might be normal? Both my old B7 and my current B8 do this sometimes at very light throttle. Most of the time both cars were/are fine.. I think it's the light throttle that does it, you really need to be stroking it to feel the hesitation

Re: 0-60 Times
@ Wheelfurb Launch control .... put the car into Dynamic, Switch off the Traction Control ........ from a complete stop hard on the brakes, floor the accelerator (engine will rev out to about 6k and hold the revs) and then lift off the brakes ... simple and effective! @ marc1 I used a PLX Kiwi3 ODBC...

Re: Rs4 B8 Non res. Miltek
Unfortunately it sounds normal!!
I've got the non-res on mine, it's great for blasting around, but can get a bit tiresome on a long journey with the wife and kids. I'm also thinking about res pipes or swapping for a JC Weldfab...

Re: Had my RS4 Remapped
Here's a copy of the dyno plot for my remap ...... RS4 Dyno Plot May 2017.jpg looking at it we only managed 435ps which is roughly about 430bhp!! and thats with a milltek, free flow air filters and the stage 2 remap. It could be that I've got a 'bad one' but I suspect that its probably where most o...

Re: Had my RS4 Remapped
Have a look at: http://www.dmsautomotive.com/upgrades/audi-rs4-b8/ Don't forget I do have a full JC Weldfab exhaust system with downpipes. But to be fair I'm doubting the map. Perhaps they did fiddle the transmission losses. V8mark - So your car before was 430BHP and after the remap went to 450BHP?...

Re: Had my RS4 Remapped
Hiya, I think there is some plonker pulling going on here [emoji3] The 465 sounds plausible but starting at 380 no way unless it was a B7 with a carbon clean in between the runs! Just had mine remapped by MRC and I think it came out about 450 will have a look later. In any case the increase was only...

0-60 Times
Hi, I've just bought a Kiwi ODBC interface that links to an app on a phone to look at the various info available.... anyway... it also logs 0-60 times, not sure how accurate it is but my results were Comfort mode - 5.2sec Dynamic mode - 4.8sec Launch control - 4.3sec Like I said, not sure how accura...
