Thanks for your response, but the problem is rpm and not speed related, so if I keep it at 4000rpm in a very low gear at a very slow speed, it's fine. You'd expect it to overheat in traffic as the engine is working harder than it needs to but it seems fine - which makes me think it's not thermostat....

Hi - am new to the forum. And looks like this might be my best bet as seems to be a lot of knowledgeable people on here! Certainly don't trust Audi main dealers anymore. Got an overheating problem. In drive temp gauge will drift up to 105 mark and unless I change into sport mode and boot it to raise...

Just decided to buy myself a little Xmas present.
Came across this on ebay. Was wondering if anyone has come across it before and can give me any advice on inspection.
