Been reduced now. Thought it looked familiar.
Need some wheels spacers, different colour wheels atleast. Standard exhaust tips??

EPS motorsport - RS001 build
Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but is anyone else taking a keen eye on the EPS motorsport RS001 build on YouTube? I’m absolutely loving it. Dave Rowe really does know how to put a car together, and having seen some of his previous Audi creations this one was always going to be a thing o...

Re: Gearbox sump bolts
Some of mine were rounded so I’ve bought about 10 from autodoc. Not used them yet though - servicing the gearbox when it gets a bit less damp outside.

It’s my only car, but use the missus Leon FR for nipping round town. Train to work so don’t drive it that often.

Re: Cam timing chain kit
My local Audi (Oxford) said the cam washer were on back order and couldn’t get them.
Think I got them from LLLP parts in the end.

Re: Cam timing chain kit
As Matt says it’s cams out. Whilst your doing that is all cam bolts replace. That’s about £50 worth Cambelt removal - so might as well do all that. Around £500 depending if you using genuine parts. Can seals, half moon seals and cam washer plus rocker Cover gaskets are another £40 each side. It all ...

Re: Cam timing chain kit
I bought my chains from autodoc. Think they were Febi branded. The expensive bit will be the cam adjusters. They are £500 each from Audi. Someone on here has good experience with an alternative that didn’t seem like cheap Chinese copies. If you don’t think they are faulty then you could always just ...

Re: Remote Battery Point
Good stuff Ron.
That’s where I’ve got my charger connector. Cable isn’t long enough to reach round the back and I don’t like reversing into my drive.

Re: Wheeler Dealers Nov 20th RS6 C5
Ooh nice. £12.5k seems a lot but maybe the values are going up.
I’d want full cambelt change, coolant swap, brake fluid change and gearbox service if it’s been sitting for 5 years.

I’ll do a step by step guide when I do it, but got a long list of things to do now and struggling to find a suitable time to start it.

Re: Tappet noise and treatments?
Great info. Is it a needle bearing in the rocker? Could you press it out and press a new one in? You could press it out and find a suitable replacement but it’s getting it out that’s the problem. There are a few videos of people rebuilding engines on YouTube that maybe cover 20 seconds of fitting t...

Re: Tappet noise and treatments?
The lifters only actually press down about 3 or 4mm but a stuck in one would cause tapping.
Worst case if you have tapping it could be the roller bearing in the rocker itself.
