I've played with every setting and still can't get it to sound as good as my old C5 did.
My friend who has an A6 TDI with BOSE swears by surround to max, focus to driver. I personally have the surround to middle, focus to front, bass +1, treble +3.

Re: michelin pilot super sport tyres -any feedback
I made exactly the same switch and haven't looked back - wet and dry grip are totally transformed.

Re: RS6 sound
I'm reliably informed that my car with the standard exhaust is a *lot* louder in the back. I've yet to experience it.

Re: 255/35 YR 19 ACCELERA any good ????
I had Acceleras on my old C5 and they really weren't as bad as you would expect - you're not going to find the limits of grip unless you're really pushing it. The Dunlops my C6 came with seemed to offer less performance in wet or dry conditions. The Michelins my C6 now wears are in a different leagu...

Re: Average MPG
I reset the trip MPG and drove on the flat for 5 miles @ 50mph on the cruise control without braking or accelerating. 31mpg. So, provided you drive everywhere on an empty road at 50mph, it's actually quite economical.

Re: Average MPG
My average is 17.5mpg. I'm sure it'll do 25mpg if you drive at 60mph in 6th gear. You'll struggle to find someone with the self control to do this however.

Re: Camberly Audi gone to the Darkside ?
I was really impressed with Slough Audi yesterday. I took our miserable company diesel A6 in for some warranty work and a service. I was greeted at the door by the happiest person I've ever met. The service manager was courteous and friendly, the technician had plenty of time for me. They called to ...

Re: Speed limiter
Thanks F@tBoyF@t. I should have a chat with QST as they're quite conveniently located for me.
155 isn't enough when you're doing an autobahn trip with a friend who has a 3.0 TDI with a currently equal top speed. Perhaps a cheaper option would be to sabotage his somehow.

Re: Speed limiter
Some cars came with the limit increased to 174mph. It should be on your options printout. That would probably give you 185 indicated. Mine unfortunately did not so I'm stuck with a pathetic 155 (or 165 indicated).

Speed limiter
One of the first things I did when I got my C6 was do a speed run. It was a spur of the moment thing having just picked up 2 good friends and 1 crazy Lithuanian lady who I'd never met before. Anyway, we were doing 165 indicated in the blink of an eye but then it was like hitting a wall. I know I can...

Re: 700bhp manual c5
This is exactly what I wanted to do to my C5, I just lost my nerve. I agree, better pictures are definitely needed if you're trying to sell a 10 year old modified car for £25k.

Re: A6 Quattro 2.8, £800! Excellent cheap runabout.
Due to lack of insurance, this car is in my secure parking right where I want the new RS to be on Wednesday. If someone makes me a sensible offer it's theirs.
It's a genuine 104k too according to the history.

A6 Quattro 2.8, £800! Excellent cheap runabout.
I know it's not an RS but this a car you might find useful if you need a runabout for when your RS is broken. She sold on eBay last week but the winning bidder is a no-show so it's available again. Here's a link to the original auction, out of laziness. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1997-AUDI-A6-2-8-V6-...
