Hubbly actually placed 2nd on the day to an almost 700hp RS3...and won a trophy and bottle of supposedly nice wine that he has yet to collect from me...so if anyone likes a good wine and are in SA ...drop me a pm :lol:

Started looking at the gearbox issue. She went into gearbox limp mode on my way home from work....at 3am. Seems she's slipping but I think its not anything mechanical wrong with the box. Situation has gotten weird... :boohoo: On sat afternoon i took the battery out and put it on a charger overnight as all my attempts at starting were taking their toll...put it back yesterday and got her started...with fuel...but now the gearbox is very wonky...slipping occasionally...taking really h...

Thanks for the responses. Cleared the codes and only the coolant fan code came back...but the car hasn't run since so can't really assume any have been resolved. Based on above I plan to buy a fuel pressure gauge tomorrow and install it...will see what it registers..but as per above im not expecting...

Rods, GT30 injectors, bosch 044 pump and siemens deka 630cc injectors...Add all the normal bolt ons such as FMIC, downpipe and exhaust as well as a good map and you can make over 400BHP.

Carjacking and crime has diminished quite a lot in the past few years in SA. That's not to say we still don't have issues in this regard. I live in high end suburbia so am well removed from the worst of it. Also its far easier for the thieves to shift high volume cars like Golfs, Toyotas and pick up...
