Re: What problems/costs can i expect on a 93000 07 model ?

If the car has been swapped to bucket seats from comforts, then the bolsters don't inflate with the sport button even if enabled in the DIS menu.

You can still check they hold pressure using the manual buttons on the side of the seat though.

To be honest, I never use them anyway.

Started on cleaning the leather today. Using Gliptone liquid leather cleaner and conditioner, really happy with the results so far.....
That is coming up really well, I will have a look for Gliptone products when I get back home.

Lovely looking Avant you have there.

Re: B7 RS4 Avant - Sprint Blue

In my opinion it is a better option than anything else full stop. The fact that it is cheap and simple to do is just a bonus. Lovely noise and no drone were the selling points for me. Briefly installed a non res Scorpion system for all of 1 day, the drone was horrendous and it made the V8 sound like...

Re: B7 RS4 Avant - Sprint Blue

It sounds fantastic! No drone and not too loud either. It just gives a really nice V8 sound. Well, apart from during the cold start but if you are still running with working exhaust valves then that will help. My ones are always open but I just drive away quickly to drop the revs back down if it is ...

Re: Roof Bars / Bike

Thule slide bars can help depending on how tall you are. Lets you put a bike on the roof without having to press up against the door with muddy riding gear on. More of a bonus when trying to load a bike in the middle position on the roof.

Re: SS+ suspension

Can you buy just the rear H&R bar? I only ever saw them for sale as a pair as that is how they are designed to be used. The SS+ and the 034 rear are designed to work with the OEM front. Not sure how a car would handle with just the H&R rear fitted? You are right enough about the bushes and brackets ...

Re: Wanted RS4 B7 - Purple? or am I dreaming

No, people will try and ask for more for a rare colour like Imola Yellow but these cars are harder to move on as more limited market.

Re: SS+ suspension

Rear ARB is 2mm thicker. A guy in here did it a few years back and said it made a noticeable difference to how the car turned in. I would try that first and if you still want a little more, fit H&R lowering springs. These are a little firmer but improve handling without compromising comfort too much...

Re: SS+ suspension

10mm drop in ride height via firmer shorter springs. Dampers are different as well, along with a slightly thicker rear anti-roll bar. There is a full set of DRC SS+ dampers and springs (for a saloon) on ebay including center control valves. You could just fit H&R lowering springs (same 10mm height d...

Re: Wanted RS4 B7 - Purple? or am I dreaming

Half leather buckets (never wing-backs) were the race cloth option which are pretty rare. Don't think they are worth more though. I prefer them over full leather to be honest. But judge the car on condition and maintenance routine rather than spec. I would take a well maintained car with comforts an...

Re: For Sale : RS4 B8 “Audi Exclusive”

I had a R55 JCW Clubman in Spice Orange which was not too far away from that shade.

I was not keen on it at first but it grew on me.

No issue selling on again either despite the wife calling the colour 'gilded turd'.....

Re: Is my clutch on its way out?

If so, my one has done this for a few years now. The clutch still works although it does start returning a little slowly if you rev the engine all the way to the redline.

Might be worth bleeding the clutch, people have had good results from just doing that on here.

Like a bit of dead travel? Then a sort of notch before the clutch disengages?

Re: Air Con Advice

If you have a leak in the system it can draw in air, this can trigger the pressure switch as the system is overpressuried. Which could be why the econ light stays on. My one had a tiny leak under a metal bracket, only found by injecting a uv dye into the system. Either leave a working system on all ...
