Re: tight turn rumbling noise
There is a service bulletin for front arm bushings. Mine did the same and was replaced under warranty.

Re: Mixing oil brands?
Viscosity is not as important as the VW specification. 504/507 additive packs are very similar as are the crappy GIII base stocks still being used, hence there are no issues with additive compatibility. If using the 504/507 (which virtually every approved dealer is using in every engine now) then fi...

Re: Gearbox servicing
The fluids supplied to ZF (Pentosin, Shell etc.) are designed to "wear" with the transmission and the TCU adjusts accordingly throughout the life of the trans. Therefore, if changing trans fluid on sealed-for-life units it is best to get into the habit early rather than wait 10 years and 100k miles....

Re: Time to upgrade...?
I’ve been debating the same, trading my 15 plate for a new PE. I had enquired with 2 well known car sourcing websites and one of them worked with a few dealers for a delivery ETA. They all advised that the wait is a good 6 months and not to expect delivery until the end of the year. They also advise...

Re: Cheapest place for new order?
I tried all the usual suspects including the brokers such as carwow and couldn't get over 11% on a PE spec'ed to £96k (inc. the Audi finance discount). This included those that were offering 15-16% this time last year.
Never heard of 20% discount on an RS6.
My PM box is waiting......

Re: Cheapest place for new order?
The days of 15% are over for the foreseeable future. Very difficult to squeeze more than 10% out of dealers now on the current RS6 due to: 1. Brexit – low value GBP against the EUR 2. Since the PE release demand for the RS6 has increased Hence 11% on a new RS6 is a good deal. Discounts for the S8 we...

Re: RS6 C7 to NEW M5?
There is rumour that their new AWD platform can be switched to RWD mode. This would seriously up the game if true. My last BMW was the E60 M5 and I hated it except for the engine noise. Horrible interior, crappy gearbox and unable to get the power down when needed. I think BMW will deliver with the ...

RS6 C7 to NEW M5?
Although I am not ready to give up my C7 RS6 just yet the new M5 is alleged to be AWD. Anyone tempted?

Sounds like it could be normal. I feel it through the drivers seat the most.

Re: For those with Audi Sports Exhaust...
Yes, grumbly is a good description. Feels like misfires and the car wobbles a little until the revs fall to normal. My 2014 with standard exhaust was silky smooth during cold start-up as a comparison.

Re: Help All 4 wheels buckled
Is this up/down or lateral movement? I would ask to see another Audi 21" wheel on the same balancing machine to see if it exhibits the same "buckled" appearance when spinning. When tyres are mounted many wheels don't exactly look like they spin completely true.
