Cheers, I think you are right it is the flywheel clattering. I don't make a habit of pulling off in second, I just noticed when turning a corner at slow speed to get into my steep driveway. Hi all, I have a slight rattle when pulling away under slight engine loading at about 1.5 k revs. It is most noticeable if pulling away in second or very slowly in first if up a hill etc. It sounds very much like an exhaust baffle rattle but isn't and it will only occur under motion and engine load....
