Sold the rs. Couple of spare wheels available
Well after a year and 12000 farly trouble free miles I've sold the rs6. My job changed so I no longer needed a car for work and hauling pushbikes around so Ive swapped it for a nice sensible family motor. A honda type r'd lotus elise :biggrin3: talk about one extreme to the other! Quicker than the r...

Makes a change from all the chav crap about noisy exhausts, logo'd mats and my cars faster than a 'insert some POS hot hatch here' posts that have been on the go recently
for a while I thought I'd logged into scoobynet!

Re: Which brake pads are ok for the RS6?
im sure they would wear but at a much lesser rate as there's no metal in the pads. R53 are a proper top end motorsport(and now mountainbikes as well!) outfit. most of their gear is for track and race use. theyre a supplier of mine so basically doing this as a favour(if i can dig deep enough!). no re...

Re: Which brake pads are ok for the RS6?
holy ****!! theyre sending prices through but sounds like its going to be over £600 inc vat! the benefits are better initial bite, last twice as long, dont wear the discs and dont produce brake dust(as there's no metal in them)
they sound good but £600! stroll on!

Re: Which brake pads are ok for the RS6?
needing new pads myself. Ive an account with R53 engineering for mountain bike stuff and theyve offered to do me a set of their Endless pads. supposed to be far better performance with longer life and also less wear to discs. anyone tried them?

Re: Just had a Milltek fitted
I don't understand, why are you modding the car if you are going to sell it? It's money down the drain and will put off people that are willing to pay a premium for an unmolested plus in a rare colour. ssshhh! crack on i say. im wanting it when he's done :biggrin3: obviously it'll have to be cheape...

Re: Just had a Milltek fitted
me too. i always swore id never have an auto but ive now had 3 in a row and would struggle to go back to a manual. as long as theres a means of changing manually i'm more than happy. a good autobox makes a manual seem agricultural.

Not sure that's correct. I know back pressure is important in NA cars but iirc from my impreza days you want as little back pressure as possible on turbo cars.
