Re: Insurance

Shocked to get my renewal through last week- £650 to £1175 !! having not claimed on any policy for over 15 years I maxed out my voluntary excess to get it for £900 but still not happy :bash: Like Revilo above, shopped around and found others were even more!!! Did manage to get an offer on a comparis...

Re: Useless Main Dealer

Main dealers can vary enormously. Some are definitely better than others but often they are disappointing and expensive. Also worth noting some have way more experience and knowledge of RS models than others

Re: Just been quoted £3800 for pads and discs all round!

Not sure where you're located but Dialynx (Swindon) did all mine in September, front and back, discs and pads for £2950. All OEM Audi parts.
Keith is a good mate and has worked on all my Audis for the last 20 years. Certainly worth considering and I can definitely recommend.

Re: Recall Oil Strainer Turbos - Recall code 21H7

Had mine done by Worcester Audi last week. They were very cagey about promising it back in just 1 day. The workshop manager told me that they had done 10 and 9 of them had taken more than 1 day. However, mine became the 2nd. It was back with me by 6pm, cleaned and feeling fine. I'm pretty happy too,...

Re: Recall Oil Strainer Turbos - Recall code 21H7

Got my letter and booked for 1st week in August because I need the car before then. 1 day required and no mention of any costs or other issues but they did mention that there had previously been concerns over parts availability and the receiving of the letter from Audi didn't necessarily mean this w...

Re: Golden Retriever Dog and RS6

We have a flat coated retriever in the back of our C7 RS6 on most long journeys. He's probably a bit taller than an average golden retriever and he doesn't seem to mind

Charity Transport- Scotland Expedition July

Just in case you didn't see my post in the 'Off Topic Chat' I hope you won't mind me adding it here as well. I've managed to squeeze a car shot in to justify it! One year ago today I was in hospital with my 12 year old son, Fionn (Fin,) supporting him through a really tough battle with cancer. Along...

The Perfect Car for a Charity Expedition?- Please share

One year ago today I was in hospital with my 12 year old son, Fionn (Fin,) supporting him through a really tough battle with cancer. Along with the pandemic, this was a good reason to write-off 2020! Anyway, the good news is that Fionn is currently cancer free and has recovered really well from his ...

If Swindon isn't too far a stretch for you then personally I can recommend Keith Murray at Dialynx https://www.dialynx.co.uk/

I've known Keith for more than 20 years and I've never taken my cars anywhere else. Very knowledgeable and very reasonable

Returning with New RS

Definitely not new to the forum having been around since the very early days with an S3 and then a much loved and moderately modified B5 RS4 but family and children rather knocked all that on the head for a while. Sold the last RS in 2007 since when I've been through a number of more 'sensible' 3.0T...

Re: C7 RS6 Towing advice

I was hoping to fit a towbar to my 2017 RS6 Performance but it turns out I can't apparently. I approached Automotive Control (Bristol) because they have a nice clip on their website of an RS6 with a detachable towbar fitted and according to them it's nothing specifically to do with DRC or indeed any...

Really quite keen to sell this now so price is £10500, which I have to say is a bargain. Just to warn anyone trying to sell second hand cars at the moment it's incredibly hard. I've just spent all morning at the local stealership sorting out the purchase of the wife's new car and everything is doom ...
