Is the exhaust any louder with a res with closed valves than a standard exhaust with the valves open?

I am busting to buy a milltek exhaust but dont want to car to be really loud. So do you guys recommend

1. Milltek non res with valves
2. Milltek res with valves
3. Milltek res with no valves

My car doesn't make that noise. However I need to get it onto the computer to test the pump. I maybe have a leak in the system and that's why the fault code is showing.

My car doesnt make the noise but I thought maybe it was the secondary air injection pump in the video making the noise. Maybe not then.

Please listen to this and tell me if your RS4 makes this whinging on cold start up. I know the car is the video isnt an RS4!

My EML light is on (orange one). Fault code shows secondary air injection system. I think my used to make this noise but doesn't anymore. I know this car isn't an RS4 but listen to this link. Where did you buy your res valves milltek? How much was it? I think it's a res valved that I want. I previously owned a mk4 and mk5 R32s and I had res on both of them.

Audi want £75 to code a replacement key. I have the new key, it just needs coded. Surely it can be done elsewhere? Can VCDS do it?

Would like to hear the thoughts of milltek owners who have res and no valves

Any of you got videos/sound clips of your non res exhausts?

Mine is a saloon. I had a mk4 R32 and a mk5 R32 both with res millteks and I think the non res on the R32s was too loud. Don't want to but a non res with no valves and then be too loud.

Thinking of a non res without valves. Alot cheaper. But will it do my head in?

I have the phone thing in the centre arm rest and the bluetooth works with my iphone 4 and my phonebook appears on the radio screen
