Re: Has anyone used the Level10 rebuild kit?

Covid free ballin over here Chunky! Very lucky as not a lot has changed. Keen to know of anything with L10 re having to chase, albeit I'll only be ordering a kit and having my local guy sort install as part of the rebuild. Once I get a clear diagnosis of what in my case has failed Ill make the call....

Has anyone used the Level10 rebuild kit?

Well its that time, my box has let go. This has been my daily driver (I'm a risk taker) for 3 years now and has been almost faultless....quite the miracle! Thankfully the car is under a mechanical warranty which covers the gearbox rebuild Quick question has anyone used the Level10 'bulletproofing' (...

Re: C5 RS6 avant manual 778PS/869Nm - not what you think

Just import it as is, fix the damage. You don't care if it's been CAT N in NZ. Plus you'll come close to doubling the population of RS6s in kiwiland. Surprisingly NZ does care! It would have a crash repair record against its title, though I am sure there are ways around it..... I did actually run s...

Re: C5 RS6 avant manual 778PS/869Nm - not what you think

So I reckon $15k nz would have that landed here in Kwiland......

Do you do free next day delivery?

My only problem would be finding someone down here to do the swap who doesn't say 'Allroads didnt come with turbo V8's......'

More importantly whats the next project (after the house)?

That's how they like it in NZ.
Not afraid to try anything when you are this far away from the rest of the world.....

The RS6 isn’t homologated for use of a tow bar anyway. In theory it could invalidate your insurance.
Factoid. Here in NZ you could order one with a two bar directly from Audi NZ.

I suspect its just an A6 towbar (I have the part number somewhere).

Re: 2003 RS6 Build thread

Hi Nice Project!! I put the same gearbox (01e) with the same engine (bcy) in a 94' Audi 80 competition a few years ago. Without damage anything in the engine room. I will follow this Project:) Now that you have removed the ''flywheel'' just remember to remove the ''cap'' that are knocked in the end...

Re: Replacement headlight and wing mirror switch

I had the same issue, Chinese stuff does not match up and its a different finish so best just sucking it up and going to a dealer. Assuming your knob (hahaha) for the wing mirror is still ok you can just get the surround. I used a dealer in NZ who sourced it so they are still available. I have also ...

Re: Something is clearly not right.....

DO NOT MOCK THE 106, FEAR THE 106! I for one would have given you nuff props for buying a 106 Rallye or XSI. I owned a 93' 106XSI and 01' GTI back in the day and they are wickedly fun to drive hard. Added Racelogic adjustable traction control to the GTI for reasons that are now utterly beyond me. I...

Chunky I'm in the South Island and my commute for six months was the road attached CA Rd.JPG. The B7 murders the 6 on this road....I know for a fact as I have driven it many times in both cars! Sure if you are talking an all out speed fest on an less windy road yes I am sure the 6 will be faster bu...

Re: Something is clearly not right.....

Apart from the tired Torgues (Whatever happened to Panda?) Converter that I have been living with for years (basically, if you kickdown when in say 5th, then more often than not you get a good old bang when things engage, workaround perfectly by gearing down on the paddles if you somehow feel that ...

Re: Something is clearly not right.....

Not mapped...... yet. Ill wait until the engine has to be dropped and then replace the downpipes and cats with something a bit better then on the dyno she will go. B7 was faster more agile more engaging to drive, this is more like going to the hardware store, walking down the hammer aisle and lookin...
