I searched last year and didn't find anything, but stupidly didn't do a more recent search. I just found the long thread about the RS4, Jag XJS and Golf. Anyway, I've asked for a refund. I'll keep you posted :)

Re: Engine carbon clean - no improvement!

The only reason I tried it was that an Audi employee at the classic car show told me that it works. I also told the Carbon Clean guy that I expected a refund if I saw no improvement. I'll be contacting him on Monday. Let's see how he reacts...

Engine carbon clean - no improvement!

Hi guys and girls, Thought I'd share some information which might save you wasting your money as I recently did. I have a V10 S8 that has clearly suffered with the dreaded carbon build up. A power run last year at Surrey rolling road showed a very disappointing 370 bhp. Two weeks ago I decided to tr...

RS6 Wheels & Tyres for sale

Hi all, As some of you may remember, I had an RS6 Avant for almost 4 years which I thoroughly enjoyed before becoming a little more sensible and moving onto a 2006 S8! Not quite as quick as the RS6, but I love the sound of that V10!! Anyway, I thought it was about time I cleaned out my shed and ther...

Re: Goodbye and thank you!

Nice one Nobby! Yes, it's really nice being able to say that my car has a Lamborghini engine. Not sure about that exhaust though. The first S8 I drove had a Miltek, and it ruined the car IMHO. It was so damn noisy inside as well as out, it would have driven me mad!! I love the fact that it's refined...

Goodbye and thank you!

Hi guys & girls, Sadly, after almost 4 years of extremely enjoyable ownership, I decided to sell the RS6 and 'grow up' a little - I say a little, because I've just bought a 2006 S8! It's a fabulous machine, although not as agile as the RS6 of course. But that V10 engine sounds glorious, and there ar...

Re: audi specialists

Oh yes, it's clearly too cheap. I assume the RS6 isn't included. Would be a nice surprise if it was though. Would be a worth a trip to Cambridge just to sort out the brakes!!

Re: audi specialists

You misread the table Amar. That's for pads only. It's £237 for discs and pads.

Re: Anyone on here

By strange coincidence, I was going to ask the same thing about possibly the same car! A silver Avant with V8... number plate. It lives on the Sheen side of Richmond Park and I've driven past it on several occasions recently.

Re: Warranties again...

No offence taken Doc! Part of me thinks I should just have a slush fund as you say, but the other part says that the warranty could easily pay itself off with two relatively small claims. Yes, of course I understand they are in business to screw us, but there is only so much they can refuse. I calle...

Re: Warranties again...

I just spoke to them again. There is NO wear & tear contribution, so if say the alternator fails, they will pay for the whole thing, and no contribution and no excess! It does sound too good to be true...only the £750 limit in my case because of the high mileage.
