fair enough, but i would have thought audi uk would have had it included as part of a servicing bulletin/instructions for the dealer as I the update is of benefit to the car. Surely in (quite a few) years this kind of thing might come back to bite audi in the ass, with some engines failing premature...

ok, so I need to source a hex-can cable to be sure? If I purchased from a main dealer do they upgrade them to the latest as a matter of course prior to resale, I cant imagine its costly / time consuming?

by way of presumption would a 2005/6 car come with 0060 (or whatever the 1st incarnation was), a 2006/7 0080, later with 0090, or is it just lucky dip?

My guess is that as it's 4.5 years old now, you might expect DRC issues to have become apparent & resolved before now. If not, there's only 6 months (or 11k miles) on that car before the extended warranty on DRC issues expires...so it could end up being costly. Hope that helps... Si ... the ad does...

thanks! I've got a non official vagcom that I've used on a mkIV golf / skoda octavia. Will this work to check software etc? I understand the newer VAG cars require some sort of CANBUS capable equipment?
