My local Audi dealership have quoted me nearly £8k to get my '53 RS6 gearbox replaced. You're not kidding! Going from a 20 yr old 2.2 normally aspirated engine with wishbone suspension to a saloon with the horses of the apocalypse straining under the bonnet is one hell of a leap :) The Lotus even had a novel speed restrictor ... anything over 90 and you couldn't hear the radio/yoursel...

I took into account all your comments (and spoke to MRC amongst others) and decided to suck it up and go for the OEM disks and pads otherwise I've been warned of squealing and heat dissipation issues with other pads -- wouldn't like the car sounding like a...
