Black optics

The black wheels with red rim finish is def a big leap imo. That's the first I have seen from a car manufacture. The pic after showing it in red with black optics looks great! After not having an RS product for a over 4 years, I kept my eye on this thinking that there's no way I'll be able to spec ...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Track day insurance cover

If it helps anyone, I have a NU Prestige policy through Aon, and trackday cover for RS6+ is £100, Clio £75. Both plus IPT and normal excess is doubled for the event.

RE: Having wheels refurb as we speak

Try some neoprene glue e.g. Seamann Sub from a local dive shop. It's black!

RE: My beasts for sale

Did it the other way round: Cayenne Turbo to RS6plus, but also run a diesel Touareg which has been Porsched in a few areas. Apparently there is an "R" version of the Touareg coming out. Will have to check out M5 touring now it's in RHD.

RE: Re: RE: RS6 Saloon or Avant?

I've got a slightly perverse take on it in that I find the 3-box saloon shape archaic, and would always choose (in order) "lifestyle" i.e. not boxy estate or coupe/hatchback. The 3 RSs I've owned have all been exclusively Avant derivatives - RS2, RS4 (old) and RS6plus. Until I heard about the plus I...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Turbocharged 5.2 V10 anyone?

Totally agree, but the tyres that he had on gave him no chance at all to lay down that traction. Long time ago now, but back in May 2003 my Cayenne came with Bridgestone Turanzas on 18" Turbo wheels. Day 2, belting through the Cotswolds and thought I'd have a play on a green lane. Tyres were indeed...

Will work on it, but it'll be in about a week's time as I'm off in my Clio to Cadwell Park for tomorrow, then a few days in Scotland for an end of season wakeboarding bash. If you pm me your email address Ed then I'll send the stuff that way as I'm not 100% on how to post scans on the forum. Cheers ...

Like Martyn, I've had them all at one time, and enjoyed my RS2 for over 5 years. Overriding memory of the RS2 - massive turbo lag. Get the revs up and you're there - exhilerating, but can be scary pulling out at junctions sometimes. Still have the original brochure somewhere, as well as the copy of ...

Surprised to receive one too, especially since they had threatened to downgrade my Optimax card. Nearest Shell station is now 17 mile round trip in the wrong direction - so that's almost a gallon to get there and back for a fill up. I gave them a piece of my mind and suggested they'd see more sales ...

Winter tyres available for RS6 wheels now.

Yes - I know we don't need them yet, but for those who know me then you'll know I'm a convert. Thought I'd better publicise this to help me remember when winter comes. Last winter I searched in vain for any 255/35 R 19 winters to replace my scrubbed trackday tyres on some spare OE rims. Now they're ...

Re: RE: Unable to put air in front tyres

why dont you all use the pump in the boot (trunk) which was bult for the job. also never trust forecourt guages for pressure. they often are 20% out +/- best to keep a guage in the glove box so at least you have constant readings errors and you know what works for you Went through all the above on ...

Sorry to miss out Bob. I'm returning from a month in Scotland to go back south tomorrow until 29th, then back here for another week. Sure I'll bump into you at some stage.

Cheers
