Re: For sale RS6 Avant 2004

Full respect. Good to hear it's been used and reliable. Maths corner: 171000 miles @ 23mpg = 7400 gallons = 33800 litres of fuel. At today's fuel prices, that would be (drum roll please)... over 47 000 british pounds spent on fuel. With the car costing 10K GBP, I am slightly reminded of the pricing ...

Re: My RS5 smashed at Dealer!!

Agree re being reasonable, and aiming to negotiate. Of course you have the right to a repair to original standard and a decent replacement car while yours is being fixed. Beyond that you might think about...and be honest with yourself here, since over-the-top demands won't get you far with an insure...

Re: C5 RS6 for sale

So looks like this has been sold now, or just moved on. Anyone on here? I've not heard anything. I must admit I'm curious / sentimental. Yeah, I know, just metal. Another of my old cars (B5 RS4) is for sale with Nick Johnson at the moment. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2355641.htm I had it from ...

Re: My '6 for sale (not by me)

Only thing I would say is that although it's a pure driving experience the 993 is a bit slow... Are you not missing the RS6 oomph? Indeed, it's not really quick. But it's a lovely thing. Thus far, I don't miss the power of the RS6. But this might be because I also have an M3 CSL (and a bike). The C...

+1 vote for Rob (and Martin, and Stuart who actually wields the spanners) at Camberley Audi. Really good guys, always try to help, know their stuff and give helpful, honest advice.

Re: want a laugh

That's just so sad. Reminds me of the chav-tastic video of the RS6 reversing at 40mph between roundabouts, pursued by Saxos with Lambo doors. I know you've all seen it.

Anyway must dash. Need to hoover my floor mats which, as you know on the '6, are Ocelot fur hand-woven by Glaswegian virgins.

My 2p. I have a C5 RS6 (since February) and an E46 M3 CSL (for many years). In my view you won't end up in a ditch if you buy an M5. BMWs, like Audis, have excellent stability control systems. I speak from several experiences of poor driving (mine) rescued by excellent engineering (BMW's). Yes RS6s ...
