Re: Anyone owned a D3 S8 and a C5 RS 6?
I've had a D3 S8 for a year and a half now. Before that I owned an 03 RS6 for nearly 3 years. If you can live without the torque of the 6 then the S8 is a better car in almost every way.As standard It's better equipped, more comfortable, very nearly as fast (up to about 70 -80 ) and handles better. It'...

Re: New car niggles
Had car few days now, no major probs but handbrake cover seems to pop off, how can I fix it....? Also Bose is awesome but can it be upgraded to be louder...? Im a bit of a rocker at heart. If you have the RNS D unit you can upgrade to the RNS E,which goes a tad louder.Or at least mine seemed to.Qua...

Re: RE: Re: RE: What next?
I love the Phaeton W12, but it's a porker. The A8 is aluminium at least so much lighter. I wonder if the D3 S8 is quicker / nimbler than the C6 S6 because it's aluminium. The D3 S8 weighs 1940,the S6 1910.So the difference is negligible. The S8 has an extra 15bhp,but the torque figures are identica...

I owned a saloon with a resonated Milltek for 3 years. There were times when I didn't want to play the hooligan just sit back and listen to music, cruise control on and enjoy the 'other' side of the RS6 - it's comfort and refinement. At legal motorway speeds the exhaust could hardly be heard and was n...

Re: Fan on when off
Last 2 days fan has been running after it has been switched off Temp Gauge on 90 Just checked VAGCOM no faults coming up Coolant temp going up to 107 degrees but gauge showing 90 Think I will try a coolant temp sensor first and let you know fingers crossed the thermostate is OK, heater working all ...

You switch off,get out and lock.As you walk away you can hear the fan still running. This is supposed to happen and is normal.Fan should go off within a short time.If the fan takes more than a couple of minutes to switch off then you might have problems, normally thermostat related.Check under the bon...

Yes it's a big car. But don't forget you also get huge luxurious seats and bags of room, which is what gives the car so much character. For the same performance you'd need an MR 400 or some other Jap crap.Rock solid ride and cheap interior.I know,I've owned one! I'm changing mine soon, for another Audi.

Follow the guides, buy a decent one.If it's not already get it remapped. These things are all about torque as a previous poster has mentioned and when tuned re define the word 'overkill'. Pull out to overtake, glance back to pull in again and realise you're a far greater distance in front than you nee...
