Re: Auto close tailgate slamming
I Looked into this for a while. I had an S6 before the RS and it was't anywhere near as angry in its close. I had the dealer look at it, I swapped the struts out tried all sorts of things but haven't found a solution. i have seen some youtube videos suggesting there are different versions at the hin...

Re: ILR carbon products
I've got a rear diffuser from them and front lower splitter and really like both of them, for the price point i'm very happy, the rear diffuser required a little fettling in places, but only 30mins or so with a dremmel. didn't need to remove the rear bumper for fitting the diffuser. I'd like the roo...

Re: Secondary cat delete - costs and issues?
changing the ARBs gave a much better result than i was expecting, i went H&R, was expecting to also need to change the DRC/Springs etc, but for me found just the ARBs gave the feel i was looking for so not gone any further. It was the same for me when I had the H&R ARB's fitted. It added just enoug...

Re: Secondary cat delete - costs and issues?
They simply cut the pipes either side of the cat and fitted straight through replacements (the tube is straight, no bends etc) I'd recommend a call with MRC, i was in and out in less than a day, sure it's not the cheapest mod, but to point Welwynnicks point you need to have confidence in the experie...

Re: Secondary cat delete - costs and issues?
I had the rear most cats removed by (the most excellent) MRC, along with a tune, ARBs, filters etc. not had issue on MOTs, and been through a few even at dealer. can't comment to price as it was all in.

Re: Upgrading MMI to Carplay or Android etc
not seen the Seicane one before. the factor i was worried about mine was to keep the original MMI functions etc. though the Seicane looks to be LHD, i don't think it replicates the MMI for example showing heated seat controls or setting the car options, or inbuilt tel/nav etc. for me i had to retain...

Re: Upgrading MMI to Carplay or Android etc
think i have the instructions somewhere if useful, it's not overly technical, the 2 biggest issues i had was getting the glove box back in (it's fully of other electronic stuff so fair weight and lining the holes up was way harder than i'd expected) and fitting the box of tricks as it's a fair size ...

Re: Upgrading MMI to Carplay or Android etc
not sure i had a 'handed' version not even sure there is such a thing...? my rs6 is RHD but question the relevance? the mod i had required a box of tricks hidden in behind the glove box, which (using connectors) spliced into various circuits etc. the only wire i had to splice into was on the aircon ...

Re: Upgrading MMI to Carplay or Android etc
I've done this on mine, similar to the 4th URL posted above (though sourced elsewhere) it was a pita to get done, just not enough room, and needing 4 hands etc, but the outcome has been great, i wish i'd gone with a wireless carplay on hindsight and will like swap out when i have the time and built ...

Re: Considering a C6
I have a double garage, but with 2 single 7ft doors. The garage doors are an up and over style, and on the inside of the garage door, ie above you as you drive in, I've mounted a parabolic lorry mirror as I was initially worried about clipping the side and line up. in practice I no longer use this a...

Re: Oil leak question
Sure, I used to go to Basingstoke, but the service manager there (Rob) moved to Guildford, and I trusted him so much that i now travel nearly 1.5hrs to get to guildford for service, past at least 3 other dealers that a nearer. Its a trust thing for me. I've had 2 oil seals replaced under his supervi...
