Re: Battery relocation on rs6
You can use any size rim that you want(so long as it clears the brakes) you just have to increase the tyre profile size to compensate, as long as the rolling diameter difference is no larger than 5% & you don't drive for extended periods over 40mph it should be fine. I've had first hand experience o...

Yehh! Finally sold my S4 back home so now have the funds to procure my next toy! I'm now of two minds as to what to get either a C5 RS6 or a B5 RS4. so I need some help... the reason I'm of two minds is I have a lot of performance parts that I collected for my S4 still in my shed, I've got a set of ...

Re: Thats a fast rs4
Damn thats fast! it makes me wonder if I should buy a RS4 instead of a RS6! if only I could buy both then I'd be a happy man :biggrin3: I reckon 10-15% correction factor for a aftermarket speedo is about ball park, I had a aftermarket speedo on my ZX6R and it was 13.7% out after calibration. Why doe...

Re: Manual Conversions
also what are the options? diesel manual and rs4 box? Over the last year two I've been speaking with a few of the people around the world who have done a manual conversion on a C5 RS6 & what I've gleaned from speaking with them is as follows(the USA guys particularly didn't want to part with much i...

Re: LEDS now successfully fitted
- these sidelights are specifically designed for cars with bulb warning and Canbus systems - whatever they are Just to advise that when I first fitted them, one didn't seem to work so phoned their Customer Service Dept (who as previously experienced were very helpful) and they asked whether I had t...

Stunning cars but the m5 is a souless car ...........................get a gay hairdresser's e46 m3 and you will change your mind :bigblink: Maybe once I've put a turbo on it, but after having shown a handful of them the door in my S4 they don't appeal to me as much as they used to. I was contempla...

Re: Gutting the precats (how hard?)
It's not that hard just takes some time. You need to mount it with the turbo end facing down in a vice & use a long shaft flat head screwdriver and a hammer/mallet. You then have to free up the cat's cell substrate by tapping the screwdriver through the cells till it breaks free, then get a pair of ...

RETURNING CONVICT LOOKING TO BUY A RS6
HI All, I'm a Aussie that's just moved to London from Sydney Australia with my wife, to live and work for a year and a half or thereabouts. I've been a bit of a lurker on this forum as I've been doing my research on my C5 RS6's, but I tend to warm up and enjoy some witty banter more as I get to know...

Re: going LPG
Have you considered using Liquid phase LPG injection? Gas phase is old tech now. With liquid phase you get proper metering so you only use approx 12-15% more gas than petrol compared to 25-30% for gas phase. You Also gain the inherent benefit of the reduction in intake temperature as the liquid conv...

My brother is running 405mm discs with C5 RS6 8 Pot Calipers on his Chevy Silverado, they fit but there is something like 0.5-1mm of pad overhang. Also the rotors just miss scraping on the inside(inside the disc groove) of the calipers. http://i523.photobucket.com/albums/w356/monaro-azz/n686102586_4...

Haha, the Pre-Saxon times version, pressed onto a slate disc. "At thy next cross-roads, point thy stead toward your sinister-hand, thy quest endith on thy sword-hand side, 3 dwellings shy of an arrow's flight" ROFL, I couldn't get up for five minutes. & I thought that was only Holden's(GM) design m...

Discs The Brembo 8 pot used on the RS6/B7 RS4 is also used in the Brembo GT Big Brake kits. The Kits come with a variety of discs which can be cross-drilled or slotted. I have 380mmx34mm slotted front discs on my car using the Brembo 8 Pot caliper and the difference from a B7 RS4 kit is that the ca...

RE: Australia
would be an awesome idea except our government doesn't like to upset new car sales so they make you jump through lots of hoops. You also need to have owned and used the car for a year before you can import it to OZ, and document every day spent outside of the country & the reason for being outside t...
