Re: Bicycle in an RS4?
I could get mine in (just) with the wheels still attached. Didn't fancy doing it after a muddy ride (whether wheels were attached or not) so ended putting it on a roof rack.

You mean 'opposite lock corner' as the locals call it!Boggle73 wrote:we got between 52 - 56 mph on the straight but it made the 180 at the end very skill-full
The guy who details my car (Jim @ White Details) works about 1 mile from there - I'm sure he could do you a deal on cleaning your cars while you race!

Re: Different type of meet - Karting
Is that the PFI track? If so, its one's of the best in the country and hosts international meets. Built and owned by Paul Fletcher who is a millionaire karting enthusiast.
I've been there a couple of times and its the real deal. Last time was in pouring rain - it was hilarious!

Have they made a full recovery? Loss of earnings could cover earnings in future years as well?
Unfortunately it is all too easy to exagerate personal injury claims.

Re: Avus with black wheels please
Search on Steve_70 on here - he had an Avus Avant with Titan wheels I think. Don't recall seeing any B7 RS4's with black wheels but I'm sure there's a couple of B5's out there.

Re: Avus with black wheels please
I was going to get black wheels for my Avus. I think it would look good if you have the black optic pack as well although there's not many fans of black wheels on this forum.

Looking at the recent posts I thought this had turned into a M3/Merc/car-parking forum!

Re: M3 970 miles in
Just been out - its was fairly wet but not raining and not much standing water. Also, I was really going for it just to see where the limits of the car are. I found that the traction light comes on a fair bit more than it did with the RS4 although it must only be cutting in slightly as it didn't see...

Re: M3 970 miles in
290  dont you mean 390? Not getting power down even in a straight line? You must be questioning the move surely? Sliding and drifting is great when your ON IT and in the mood but having to put up with it catching you out in anything other than dry conditions just annoyed me when i had a...

Re: M3 970 miles in
Steve - my RS was standard and put out 290 according to MRC - wasnt yours decoked etc? the M3 feels scary fast to me atm still, or could that be because it can lose traction between 5-6k whilst driving in a staight line (in rain again)! Yes, I'd forgotten that mine was decoked, MRC filter and remap...

Re: M3 970 miles in
The power button does nothing to performance only sharpens up throttle response. +1, it is just the throttle response AFAIK. But you can program the M button for the suspension stiffness, steering weight, throttle response, gear change speed/timing, DSC on/off (there are several settings for each s...

Re: M3 970 miles in
Paint is defo not as good on the BMW. IIRC, BMW = 80-90 microns thick, Audi = 110-120.
Agree that the full fat DSC mode is a bit keen (probably a good thing in the wet though). In the dry I find the semi-skimmed DSC is about right.
